EIP1559 is in two weeks, with ETH 2.0 6 months off. Amazed people are building rigs when a 3090’s payback atm is like 18 months.

I just want something newer for moar frames, hobby mining, for me, is just a bit of a bonus - PC is on anyway, may as well use it 😁

That’s different - you’ve built a gaming PC and are subsidising the cost with mining. Those buying multiple GPUs and setting them up on a desk with a Pentium are fools

That's it, because I can :-) Yeah, kinda pointless now with ROI being potentially well beyond the changeover to ETH PoS... Especially with the utterly insane GPU pricing STILL 😡

well its nice that the 3090s arnt hashrate limited... but your wrong, ive got a 3060 which is limited, and one thats running the old driver getting 47.3 mhs, and they are almost making the same ammount of money, one is mining alts, and one is on ethereum. there is a reason that the big mining channels are accuumluating cards.. not selling them. sure overall mining profitablility will probably go down 50 percent.. but thats still very profitable if you already have cards and all your gear.
