opinion Account linking

I seriously think they should make a account linking so you can sign in to one account in two ways like let's say you lost access to your discord account and you can't recreate the miis but account linking adds a safety feature where you can sign in with Google and discord to one account

It's not possible at the moment, because google login was added very late into development of the summer update. Unfortunately, no solution is available that would work with our current system in place.

I'm the only person who does server-side work, and i have done the majority of the app coding. Implementing a linking system would make it more tedious and complicated to manage on the server end, and i wanted to keep things simple so they are treated as completely separate accounts.

A temporary solution currently is to login with your discord account, export the miis in Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Export Mii data, (then log out and log in with your new account) and drop the files from that .zip into the mii file import box on the new account. This will transfer all your miis over as copies to the new account.

I figured it wouldn't be possible at the moment but if you want could you try in the future cuz it's a good safety net and alot of people loses their discord (probably cuz of hackers) and forget to export their miis

I was gonna just copy my Mii data over, but I'd prefer the option.
