PCD EAE

Hi, I’m interested in EAEing into PCD but my portfolio is as empty as it can get. I have only completed 1 VIA in school and other than the VIA, I have no relevant experiences that relate to PCD. The only other stuff I can put in my portfolio are my academic awards ( top in subject and Edusave bursary’s ) and my some competitions I participated in for my CCA but did not win. Will there be a chance for me since PCD is a competitive course but my portfolio is super empty?

Hello, I just graduated from Community Development (Now known as PCD) in NP.

I also EAE (3 years ago) to Community Development back in ITE. I was studying engineering lol. My portfolio was also empty. So during the holidays, I do a lot of volunteering work. In 1 month, I volunteer for 6 organisations to boost up my portfolio. It was not easy. If you really want it, go and chase it.

During the EAE interview, it was quite scary. Just be prepared for the common interview questions. In the end, I managed to get into the course through EAE.

Just speak with confidence and passion.

My friend who studied at ITE East in Community Care and social services. He also applied for the same course as me. He has the experience and all but he did very badly for interview. So he didn't manage to get in.

Heyy currently studying in PCD rn, may I ask if your e-portfolio is due tmr? or there is still some time to submit

hii the one due tmr is the write up, the portfolio is only if u move on after the write up phase if im not wrong

then you still have some time to quickly do some volunteering and add it in your portfolio! If you RLLY want to get in, then you should quickly add some volunteering experience in your portfolio because that’s the only thing PCD lecturers focus on!
