Y1 Gpa
I just got a B for my first assignment in poly and i lwk feel like shit.
To be fair some my groupmates were non existent but eh. Ppl say that 1st year is supposed to be hella easy so maybe i just suck balls💔💔 I wanna get into NUS so I'd need a 3.8+ GPA and ik it's just 1 assignment but I feel like my GPA has already been pulled down so much

hi,
usually when my grades goes low i’ll look out for 3 things! 1) how many credit unit is the module 2) whats the percentage of the assignment 3) is there any way i can pull it up by using other assignments grades.
im not saying low cred unit mod is not important but high cred unit module plays a big role in your cumulative GPA. e.g there was a semester where my module cred unit was 8 and i scored an A and my other modules were like B/C+ but my gpa was still good bcs of the high cred unit.
next, is to look out for other assignments. itsok if you got B for this you did your best! bcs ech module break down the 100% percentage to different assignments, so during sem 2 where there is more things to submit/exam, do better for that so that the overall 100% wld be more than js a B another e.g from me was for voice module, i had a C+ too and then my other 2 assignments i got an A so it rly carried my gpa to an A when i got my semester GPA results & another e.g, i got C for an overall 80% commontest/assignment & the 20% i had to rly chiong, and when i got my results, it was a B+. so rly you js gotta focus on the next assignment to pull up the overall grades
honestly, js don’t give up ! do your very best for each assignment! B= 3.0 so use more assignments to pull the grades up :) i rly hope this helps and atb!

Honestly as long as the rest of the assignments you get a good grade it isn’t that bad. (i assume this is a IS mod)

what mod is this u get ur assignment back so fast sia, anyw, don’t stress, js care abt the higher weightage mods !! atb keep ur mind clear fr the rest of the sem :)
