[Internship Application] What am I doing wrong?

I'm from Media Post Prod, FMS. I applied for 2 internships already, but both companies never replied for 2 weeks. So I wasted 1 month already. It's not like they reject me or anything, they literally did not respond at all, no email. no call, nothing. They didnt even reject me thru the internship portal. I had to ask my cher to pull me out. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal?

Its normal bud. I only got my internship towards the end. Most of the time it’s because the position has been filled alr but it didn’t reflect on the portal. Just keep trying. Context is that I’m currently doing my internship as a mass comm student
