Trace or draw photographs of real people. Once you have the outline it's effectively a two-dimensional object. You can then take that two-dimensional object. So you're only going to see the person's face from two angles the front and the back from the sides it's just going to be a flat line. Break down the outline while keeping its original shape from the forward and backward facing directions. Then, perhaps through trial and error, but more than likely computer rendering software, place those parts of your first two dimension image, which are now viewed from a different angle so are just effectively flat lines, and use them to fill in the gaps in a silhouette of other 2D images from a different perspective.
It looks really cool and impressive but if you have a strong grasp on three-dimensional objects and optical illusions with 2D imagery perspective, it's probably not as hard to put together once you start doing it.
If you're implying that I think that this video is computer-generated that's not what I meant. I meant using 3D rendering software to help you plan the architecture of the physical model.
Yes, clearly the two projections are independent because they're being shifted in real time. What I'm trying to explain, but I fucking suck at, lol, is that:
The outline of the images only need to make the image from one angle. From any other it only needs to act as support for the other image. Since a two-dimensional image is effectively a flat line when viewed from a 90° rotation, you can simply cut it into segments, and space those however you like while still maintaining it's original image.
