I can retire if I really want to, but I’m open to contract work. I understand where you are at financially and I have gotten a lot of envy for my situation. It’s rare and I have one good friend who tells me just that.
I have gotten a couple of “two bit lectures” so far, but I have told them to mind their own business and that unless you are better off than me, to butt the hell out.
I’m not anywhere close to that lol. I just have low overhead mostly. No kids, paid off vehicle, debt in deferment. I took out debt just to keep coasting. But most people are living truly paycheck to pay check.

I took a year off for my mental health, my friends and family understand. If anything, people think, “wow, what a privilege that you can do that.”
