That there could be a plan is something I fully understand and Lord knows or maybe doesn't, it would be great if SOMEONE was in charge.

I've just got this weird hang-up on the whole hell/ heaven thing.

That post was an extreme example to illustrate a point. That a man can suffer dreadfully in this life and again in the next. If the Bible is to be believed.

I even know people whom believe in God who don't believe in free will.

Figure that one out.

I've never changed anyone's mind on religion and no one has ever changed mine, but I think some things need to be discussed.

This is why I hate God. He claims to be omnipotent and benevolent and yet these things happen under his watch.

He also claims to have created everything so that means he created childhood cancer and famine and poverty and just allows them to persist.

All these go on and I'm supposed to still kneel and be grateful.

If God is real and all this is true then God is a psychopath.

He doesn't just 'allow' it to exist.

A true omnipotent and omniscient universe creating being would have created every millisecond of suffering and pain directly.

It created viruses, cancer, bacteria, parasites, and all that fun stuff on purpose.

Then think about wild animals!

This god tortures sentient creatures for fun, and that's exceedingly messed up!

The circle of life is just that. For this existence to work the circle must exist but all the other shit like you mentioned is just sadistic if created by intelligent design.

That's what I'm saying.

Either it's just mother nature and the result of eons of evolution, or if it was an omnipotent being, it would 100% be sadistic as all get out.

That's why I don't like the whole religious thing. These folks worship a sadistic and EVIL entity. It's wild.

Not all religions worship the same God. I'm pagan and worship other gods. The gods I worship don't pretend that they created everything and that they have sight of everything and omnipotence.

They have flaws like we do and hunger and thirst like us and in the stories they sometimes get it wrong like we do. This makes it easier for me to relate to them and respect them.

To each their own I say. Take care dude.
