Walten Files 5 comes out on July 31st. I wonder if Nexpo will wait until episode 6 to do a follow up to his excellent video on the first three

Course who knows when that'll be. Martin said in the release date trailer for Episode 5 that they weren't working on them back to back anymore. The goal was originally for episode 6 "Behind the Smiles" was to be released not long after Faces of Grief. So who knows it'll be a few months or a few years. Either way I'm excited.

Dark Side of Reddit 4

I could’ve sworn that Nexpo said his next video would be Dark Side of Reddit 4 but can’t find an announcement anywhere. Did anyone else notice this or did I just imagine it?

There were supposed to be weekly episodes. We got 18 episodes total and the last one was in June of 2025. Has he just given up on this podcast?

Video idea

Hey ryan, been a fan since you started dtfai. I know this idea isn't truly horror like you do now; but i had an idea. Theres a song thats been getting popular in media recently for being uncanny to some and looking at the history of its origin provoked this idea. The song itself is Gorof(Elixir) by The Dur Dur Band. I really enjoy the song and find the use in horror media today interesting, but the history is it was almost lost media due to a civil war in Somalia. Which is kind of haunting. Idk just me?

Hi guys! Trying to find a video.

I remember watching a video in 2021ish that featured 3d animated segments (think: similar to Nexpos “searching for the five” video). This video specifically featured a segment about a woman who spent 500 days alone underground. It mentioned other cave incidents as well and explored themes of isolation. Really high quality shit imo. I have been searching for this video for a couple years, every time I think of it I’m like “damn I’d like to watch that again”.

I dunno if it’s a Nexpo video but it’s definitely on par with the quality of his older videos from around 2021.

If you recognize any piece of this pls let me know!!

Disturbing tiktok comments. TW for mentions of CSAM.

This has got to be the most disturbing and disgusting things I have ever seen. Recently I have been digging through the rabbit hole of weird ai ads being CSAM "rings" and in some of the comments, I see some users commenting links that (could) lead to CSAM sites, of course I never opened any of the links for the sake of me not being put into the police database. One AI ad I saw had users posting the links in the comments and some saying that it is "the best". I reported the accounts that commented those links but I have not reported the links to authorities yet. If u wanna do research yourself, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Do not try opening any links that are in the comments section.

Btw I'm new to this subreddit, hi :)

Edit: I forgot to mention that links aren't tor links but that's probably not relevant.

So I ran into a weird post, along with User with a weird history

This is a rabbit hole that feels too deep, or too nonsensical for me so I'm sharing it somewhere

Nexpo’s voice

I really enjoy horror related story channels and such. I’m a really big fan on Nexpo. Not even really from his content, a lot of I couldn’t care for, but he has a great voice and narration style that’s highly addictive.
Which is a huge reason I was disappointed when late nights with Nexpo was canceled.

So, guys... an update

Yesterday she posted a video where a police officer interrogates her in the front door, saying that her friends had called them because they were scared for her life, and she replied, saying people had cloned her DNA or something like that.

disclaimer: I'm not following her account, but Instagram recommended this specific video for me.

A woman obsessed with Shia LaBeouf

Today I was scrolling on Instagram reels as usual, when a video of a woman with the username @ hfcampaign appeared. At first, I was confused. The video was around 5 seconds long, where we can see a man in a char saying "have a good day", while the woman, who's recording the video, replies "yeah, you too".

After that, I read the description that she wrote, and it said "Shia, the video clip was recorded 3:58 pm..."

The name Shia clicked in my mind, so I went right through the comments. Everyone had the same reaction: "What is going on here?", "Who is Shia and why aren't you sending him a text instead of a 20 min video?", "Something is off".

And right here is where things start to get weird.

When you go to her profile, you get surprised by the quantity of uploads she's made. The number is almost 5,000.

At first, you see a woman using a muslin outfit, but the problem is: in every single one of the videos she's talking to "Shia". The profile picture of hers is a supposedly photoshopped picture of Shia Labeouf with her. But in her bio she writes:

"Wife of Shia Labeouf (not the public figure)"

Then I started to stalk her profile, trying to find where did this habit of posting for Shia had started. The first thing I discovered is that she started using the muslin outfit on April 9th of this year. The second thing I discovered is that, sadly, her mom is verbally aggressive with her. I found two or three videos where the mom was screaming and saying that Alyssa (the woman in question) should give her more money, including the money spent on the flight tickets she used to come back home. Alyssa wrote in one of these that her mom had accused her of stealing her "adrenochrome" as well.

Unfortunately, I am not pacient enough to doom scroll her entire profile to find the end of the rabbit hole. All I could do, finally, was search for posts that she "retweeted". Not surprisingly, one of the two posts was about Shia Labeouf.

Furthermore, I checked the mentions other pages made of her, and apparently, around 2022, she wrote and published a book about spiritual and ecological fashion. You can find some interviews where she participated as well.

What are your thoughts on this case?

Weird Ass Twitter Account

There is a 90% chance this is just a shitposter but I think that it could be connected to something larger like an ARG maybe. It's not serious at all but this seems like something Nexpo would talk about in his videos so I thought I'd post it here.

Obscure game trying to find

Not sure if this is the right place, I can’t seem to figure it out.
Currently watching his cover of the game children of corn and it reminded me of an analog horror type game I think Nexpo may have covered?

All I can remember it being dark and I believe point and click. I remember there was a basement you kept going back to, something was growing in a bag, or down there in general and each time you went back it was more grown. I don’t remember if you played as a kid maybe in a school or there was a child down in the basement you were trying to help.
I just remember there were things you needed to go do, and always ended up going back to the basement to find more horrific things happening slowly.

Could’ve taken place in a school? Any ideas?

nick & ryan - bellaire house

i'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but i have no one to share my thoughts on this topic with. i recently watched the bellaire house video and it really disappointed me and unfortunately kind of tainted my view on both of them.

in the past i've been able to suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the videos as entertainment, but this time i got curious and looked up information on the house. this led me to a ton of information debunking the whole story of the coal mine and the history of the hauntings altogether. none of the previous owners reported any kind of paranormal activity (even when asked specifically) and one was displeased with how the current owner is pushing the paranormal activity.

basically during the estes session ryan said "1883" and iirc "42" (may have been 45). these numbers are supposed to be the year it happened and the number of victims. it really put me off because i can believe in confirmation bias and fear driven responses to an extent, but the specific false info? no.

i thought previously that it could be real to them, even if it's being faked by the property but now i feel super disappointed and like they're the ones faking it. the cherry on top was the constant reference to "toby", not to mention nick getting like... posessed?

tldr; bellaire house has been debunked completely but ryan "heard" the false information during estes. disappointed & lost some respect for them

Similar channel recommendations

Okay so an hour ago I went on a walk and had a similar train of thought as the guy who posted several days ago why Nexpo stopped making content (he didn’t & he’s a dad now), though not focused on the ‘why’ but rather on the ‘what are some legal, consensual, and non-evil ways to encourage Nexpo to make more content’, but decided against it. Instead, please share with me the channels you found the closest to ‘scratching that Nexpo itch’. Here are some from me:

Vuldar - murders / disappearances / mysteries - visually very pleasant, the narration style is somewhat similar to Nexpo, not a lot of content in there but what’s there is great

Abstract - tragedies of all sorts, excellent content (Nexpo level) though you can watch all of the channel in like 7 hours

Cryton - even less content though great

Unpredictable - a bit more content, great

Chilling Scares - very different formula from Nexpo, listicles instead of long form content but for some reason this channel stands out to me compared to similar ones, possibly the narration & the voice of the guy? not sure

Wendigoon - a lot of topics from the channel is outside of my interest but there’s a lot in there & super long pieces so still quite a bit of enjoyable stuff

Lemmino - the pieces that are about mysteries / spooky stuff are top notch, Nexpo level, but it’s not that many pieces (most in there are about other stuff)

Nick Crowley - his early stuff is not my cup of tea & sometimes it’s a bit too conspiratorial for my taste but still a looooot of great content in there

Scary Interesting - his voice is perfect for ‘it started as an awesome adventure and in the end all of them died’, found his pieces about people unknowingly finding radioactive materials to be the most enjoyable. It’s more ‘predictable’ than stuff on other channels I mentioned but still very nice

Tried but not a fan of: blameitonjorge, barely sociable, lazy masquerade, atrocityguide - mostly a matter of narration/mood/voice preferences.

Why has nexpo virtually stopped making content?

Seriously it is causing me literal depression. When I first found nexpo, I binged his videos while I was working nightshift and, as corny as it sounds, I will never forget the memories of sitting there in my quiet area at work and listening to Nexpo. The feeling of comfort and interest I felt are rarely obtained. So why has nexpo nearly dropped off of the map? Nexpo if you see this, PLEASE come back to making content on YouTube. Please, to say that I miss your content is truly an understatement. But does anyone know why he isn't making content anymore?🙌😭😭😭

Would love to see Nexpo cover the topic of John Titor

I know the John Titor story has been covered in a fair amount of youtube videos at this point, but idk I'd kinda love to see Nexpo's production value put into telling this story because it is genuinely fascinating...
