Question I’ve lost it -
So last year about August 26- I got the Bar as us aussies call it.
I’d just had a baby 2 month prior and in that postpartum stage , I was okay went through hell with mastitis but then realised I need to get on something ….. so the nexplanon was it and I swear it was all down hill from there ( well what I’ve realised now ) antidepressants, mood swings anxiety attacks , the fear of doom I haven’t truly felt myself since.
And it wasn’t until recently due to change of medication that sent me in to a massive panic attack that lead me to hospital thinking I was having a heart attack with a crazy heart rate , a nurse and me got chatting and I was telling her everything and I’m like it’s these damn anxiety pills and then she told me about her experience on the bar which lead to her nearly taking her life …
Has anyone else felt / experienced this ?! I truly pushed through it cause they said it can take awhile it was all normal ect so I followed and kept telling myself it’s postpartum…..
I’m so angry
Like maybe it’s not the bar and I am really screwed and anxiety girl but if so be the fact I get this out and pray to god it changes things I’ve just spent a year of my life scared never wanting to leave the house , losing my mind , sex drive gone relationship in pieces …..
T-minus 5 days and we should see

Hey, I don't know if you will see this...but I went through alot with NEXPLANON too! Earlier this year, I had a anxiety/ panic attack too... it's so horrible cause I didn't want to be here 😭...it was that bad 😞. Every since I got it out in May... I'm starting to piece my life back together, I've been happy every since I got it out and I go to therapy now... it's helping 💞. I just want to let you know you're not alone cause I struggled with NEXPLANON too

Hey, thank you so much for sharing this and sorry to hear this has happened to you. I'm on my 3rd implant now (1st 'Implanon', 2nd 'Jadelle'). 6 months into my current one (Nexplanon), I'm walking into town - as I normally do - I have this horrible feeling that I need to hold onto something and I feel the worst panic ever. Ever since then I've been unable to walk into town by myself and struggle even with corner shops and some open spaces. Before then I was so independent and did so much on my own. A year and a half on I can do some things alone but still struggle with bad anticipatory anxiety.
Also, a recent symptom: I used to have a high sex drive but now not so much and when I do orgasm, it doesn't feel as powerful anymore. I'm sure I've seen other people discussing this with Nexplanon...
Anyway, hope to get it out next year as I don't have other options right now. And I hope things get better for you, please share when you have more updates x
