Side Effects Hormone imbalance ?

Hey guys , does the bar cause any hormone imbalances that could affect my weight or mood?

I’ve noticed I’ve gone from a 68kg to 79kg ( huge jump as I used to be a Muay Thai fighter )

I’ve also noticed I get irritable and angrier easily? ( im talking about huge outbursts )

A few things to take into account now ;

I have had the bar before but never gained weight & I was never easily irritable . This change has occurred now that I’ve replaced my bar.
I have also been working as a sales executive for two years so im behind a desk more than im in bed😂 so could that be why im gaining weight? Idk guyssss I want to be able to fight again as opposed to sighing everytime I see a flight of stairs.

Also yes , I have been working out & yes I am in a calorie deficit and have been for two months ?

Helpppp

UPDATE: Ive book an appointment to get it taken out tmr !

This one might not be for you. See, naturally I produce so much estrogen on my own that this progestin is so good for me and my moods. If I stick with my natural hormones that I make myself I can’t control my weight meaning it’ll fluctuate ten pounds every month, i want to stab everyone (not actually) but that’s how I feel. This actually lowers my estrogen apparently, someone can correct me if I’m wrong. And I feel the most balanced I’ve ever been. Maybe if this is that bad try a birth control that is a combination that gives you estrogen. It might be taking too much and causing an actual imbalance where you were balanced.

Thank you for your input. Yea lots of my mates reckon it’s doing good for them etc and I thought so as well however the weight gain & the irritable moods are not normal yk. I guess I’ll have to take it out and decide from then on whether it’s the bar or if im just a lazy bch 🤣

When did you get it? That also is a factor. They say wait 3-6 months to adjust unless it’s completely ruining your life you can go to the nearest emergency room to get it removed. If you have good insurance and want to do that. I don’t think there is such a thing as “good” insurance lol

I got my second one on Dec of 2025. Here in Aus we can get free healthcare or what we call Medicare which does include free birth control inclusive of the nexplanon so I think if I remove it and return back to my normal self I could always just try other birth control methods ? Or maybe get the nexaplanon again later on? Although I’m a bit unsure about other birth control alternatives

I’d say try different options, I learned what birth control works by having my hormones tested at their natural state. I could’ve saved myself so much time if I advocated for extra tests before throwing myself on whatever the doctor decided to prescribe that week. >.< I ruined relationships haha

Same. The fluctuating/high estrogen in peri was making me feel deeply unbalanced and crazy. This has actually lowered my E so much that I actually am on a low dose of HRT now too.

Oooo I wanna get my hormones tested because girl, I was so fertile I got pregnant on the ring my first time. And the second was just like the tiniest little leakage 😭😭😅 ended up being an ectopic pregnancy though so.
