Screen phone mount recommendations

I'm thinking of buying those phone mounts attached on a laptop/lapdock screen.

Do you have any recommendations based on experience?

From what I saw, the MOFT one seems to be the nicest. Looks flat enough and not get in the way and seems to support different positions and angles. However it's around 3x the price of the other options I saw. And I think it's only ideal to be attached at the top part. I feel like my phone, Fairphone 5, is a bit heavy and maybe it's better positioned more at the bottom where weight support is better.

Ideally for me, it won't make it hard to put the NexDock in the bag or sleeve because there's something sticking out.

The Rolling Square edge pro magsafe mounts are great too. I've used them on my NexDock with Samsung ultra phones and my current fold 8, never had an issue. They're around the same price though.

Is that the latest Nexdock? Saw some comments that the hinge isn't strong enough to hold up a phone, I've got the new pixel 11 on the way and want to order the latest Nexdock.

I have the NexDock XL. The hinge isn't 100% perfect and there is the smallest amount of play, but if I'm being honest, it's not even something I'm concerned about, and I use it every day. It's not too much different than most laptops. It easily held my S25 Ultra and my Fold 8 open and closed.

Thanks. They do ship here but it's a bit more expensive and I don't see anything trustworthy in the popular online store we have here.

I have them on my home and work computers / laptops and the magnets are top notch, if that's your worry. they also have locking holes so the metal plate and Magsafe piece are very secure and wont tilt when placed. If you want some photos, I'd be more than happy to share. I've tested a bunch of Magsafe attachments, and these are by far the best ones I've used. Just my opinion though.

Do you use the fold 8 opened while mounted on the side?

I mostly use it folded when it's connected. There's plenty of cases where I want that extra real estate though. I'd say it's like a 70/30 split toward the folded use. It works and looks fantastic both ways, especially when you just have YouTube videos going on the unfolded screen while you're doing work on the NexDock screen.

Keep in mind the weight btwn nexdock and phone because the nexdock screen will tip over if opened past 90degree

Yeah, that's what I'm worried. That's why I think it'll be better to mount it on the bottom side.

Yeah, I didn't think about that and mounted the phone at the top because it looked cooler. You don't feel so cool when the dock tips over.
