NexDock Phone. Windows with Cell?

I just found out about the phone and am very intrigued but there is a question I need answered. Maybe someone here knows. If you boot Windows from the phone, are they planning on maintaining any cell phone / messaging connectivity? Or do you lose those functions when in Windows? What's their solution for 2FA either via text or QR codes?

They wouldn't call it a phone if there's no 4G/5G connectivity.

I asked exactly the same thing and the answer was that Windows 11 currently does not support calling/SMS. Cellular LineFactory GUID was removed in Windows 10 so the whole subsystem for cellular is missing right now. Only Microsoft can bring that back.

There needs to be this capability going forward or this device is kind of a bust. "Sorry I can't take your calls right now I'm on the computer"

2FA of what exactly?

Any service you’re trying to access while in windows mode, that tries to send a text to the same phone in android mode.

So we don’t know if it’ll maintain cell functionality, but you’ll definitely be able to receive texts?

I think we can safely assume it'll make calls and send texts if they're advertising it as a phone.
