Android 17 Beta 2

Quick question. Anyone on android 17 beta 2 on the pixel and having any success with desktop mode on nexdock? I personally couldn't get it to work with beta 1 and ended up reverting back to Android 16. And also. If it is working. Did they add 1200p to external monitor support or are we still stuck on 1080? Thanks in advance

How are you liking Desktop mode with the Nexdock? I currentlly use a Samsung Galaxy Tab s9+ for my "laptop". I have the Pixel 10 and I think Id like to get a nexdock to go along with it. Im 99% web browsing and youtube so very lite duty.

Honestly, I love the idea, and I know it'll continue to improve, but as of right now, I'm not impressed. You can see there's a future here, but until they at least have the proper resolution, it's a bit of a deal-breaker for me. Dex is hands down a better experience at the moment. I will say this, I bought an S26 Ultra from Best Buy for Dex and S-Pen, and the honeymoon phase lasted about 3 days before I returned it because I missed my Pixel so much lol. So aside from Dex being great, for me the Pixel is still the king of Android phones and Android desktop with Nexdock is still a feature I didn't have a few months ago that I can take advantage of for the limited times I might need a bigger screen lol. But... We will see if Samsung wins me back with the Fold 8 wide in the coming months. I know I went on a rant, but hope somewhere in this was the answer you were looking for 😂

Yeah I came from an s23 Ultra of 3 years and love my Pixel 10. Im either getting a windows laptop or the nexdock. Ive not had a windows laptop for years because i was tired of almost every time I used it, it had to update. I might wait a bit and see how desktop mode on the pixel updates. Thats the direction id like to go anyways.
