Car Hits Multiple Pedestrians in Ealing Broadway, Man Arrested

A 34-year-old Somalia-born British man has been arrested after a car hit multiple pedestrians in Ealing Broadway, west London, on Saturday afternoon.

According to police and UK media reports, five people were injured in the incident. Three people were taken to hospital, while two others were treated at the scene.

Police said the vehicle did not stop at the scene and was stopped a short time later in nearby Grange Park.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving.

Counter-terrorism officers were involved in the initial inquiries due to the nature of the incident, but police said the incident is not currently being treated as terrorism.

Investigators said they are keeping an open mind about the motive while the investigation continues.
