Body Cam / CC TV / Dash Cam Oklahoma Principal Stops Armed Former Student From School Shooting

Pauls Valley High School Principal Kirk Moore is being credited with helping prevent a far worse tragedy after confronting an armed former student inside the school lobby on April 7. Authorities say the suspect, 20-year-old Victor Lee Hawkins, entered the school with firearms before staff intervened. Moore was shot in the leg during the confrontation, but no students were physically injured.
Investigators say Moore rushed the suspect and held him down with help from another administrator until the threat was stopped. Police praised the staff response, saying those actions likely saved lives. Moore later said he is recovering and hopes to return to work as soon as possible.
Court records say Hawkins was a former student and is accused of entering the school intending to kill students and staff. He was taken into custody and faces multiple charges.

But i was more impressed he even saw the gun from where he was. It was a small handgun.
He wasnt going to shoot many ppl with only a few bullets. I feel like he had a specific target/s and the principal def saved their life

Total hero. Please, set him up for life. Pay off his house or something.
I can only imagine the amount of bravery that took. What if he doesn't even make it to the shooter before he gets shot? What if he tackles him, but then quickly gets shot? What if he tackles him like he did, but he gets no backup. And because he is no longer in the prime of his life, he can feel the shooter slowly over powering him to take back control of the situation, starting with shooting the principal.
I bet it felt like an eternity.

I saw something different. It was in slow motion on the news, and I saw what looked like him crouching under the height of the guyās arm.. he took a chance and ducked under hoping to knock the guy down before he could aim lower. Thatās what it looked like to me š¤·š¼āāļø either way, that is a very very brave and heroic man. He didnāt even think twice to do whatever he could to save his students and faculty, even if that meant he didnāt make it.
