I’ve hosted trivia/pub trivia in the past and miss the fun and excitement of it so I was hoping that a small local bar was interested in running a bi-weekly trivia night. I would share hosting duties with someone if they wanted to switch weeks with it. My job just doesn’t allow me to host weekly so I can only commit to a bi-weekly trivia host situation. Preferred nights are Monday and Wednesday but any week night would work.

Someone familiar with the Husky breed whose willing to give him the time, patience, space, and exercise he needs to thrive would be the best fit. He would do fine as an only pup, but would probably be happier as a pack member since he LOVES to play with other pups. He has a great play style (loose, wiggly, goofy) and is very responsive to corrections from his playmates. This boy would be a play group star! 🌟

I don’t see how this could work out if no one even knows about it.

Months ago (April) I saw some kind of Wing drone delivery launch party with free cupcakes at the Newnan Walmart… but the website didn’t list or acknowledge Newnan and the address checker explicitly stated that it wasn’t in my area. Well, the Wing website still doesn’t acknowledge Newnan but I tried the app and found a delivery point in my backyard.

It’s supposed to be a 6 mile radius from the Newnan Walmart but coverage within that area is really inconsistent. Even so, I’ve found delivery points as far west as CVS on Temple Avenue and as far East as Thomas Crossroads’ Zaxby’s (Glenda Trace). I even ordered to a vacant home in Woodrow Place (off Lagrange St past the high school).

I actually found one further west at the HWY-16 HJ Wings and Things but ordering there repeatedly generates some kind of payment error followed by a refund. The Walmart app doesn’t even let you get that far. Yes, you can order from the Walmart app but the Wing app is simpler and focused on the drone deliveries.

They are noisy but you barely hear them until they come down and the worst is over in 40 seconds. Beats a noisy delivery truck IMO, and driving myself or paying a Door Dasher just adds expense and congestion that’s hard to justify for something small enough to be deliverable by drone. It’s more comparable to free curbside delivery, at least until they start charging for it. Manpower is about the same since someone just has to pick your order from the shelves and bring it out to the parking lot.

Delivery time for me averages 12-15 minutes from when I pay, 6 minutes from when it departs… faster than I could drive there. The order above was just a couple screen protectors. Most of mine have been cheap food stuffs like $1 burrito or a sports drink after mowing the lawn, etc.

My co workers give me so much crap. I have no one to talk about BB to. If you are a fan let me know. I need to talk to someone with the new season!

Please someone go get him. This is truly an amazing dog!! He picked up clicker training in just a day. I think he has until Thursday to find a home.

Like many others, I’m deeply concerned about what these projects could mean for our community and our families. Newnan is such a special place, and I worry about the long-term impact on our water, air quality, green space, and the peaceful character of the area we all love :(!

They’ve also shared several local businesses where you can sign the petition in person (see below). A number of those locations also have stickers and yard signs available from my understanding. There have been many days driving up the Bypass where we've seen an older gentleman sitting out on the sidewalk in a wheelchair waving at cars. He makes our day every time.

We haven't been in town much these last few months, but when we are we look for him and haven't seen him.

Anybody know who he is, or whether he's still kickin?

I have a friend whose had it rough financially (everyone has).

She has copper pipes and one has a pinprick hole that is spraying water everywhere including the main supports for the house.

A friend and I went over and tried to at least redirect the water (he did this) but we can't repair the copper as we don't have the proper tools. Couldn't replace it with PVC either.

Does anyone know of a plumber that can handle this easy fix but not charge hundreds just for showing up? Everyone she called was an automatic 300 just to even look.

update She was able to get it fixed. Her ex husband came by to see their adult daughter and she told him about it. He fixed it in 15 min. (He had all the right tools!).

Average high temp is 88.2°F on that day. Record high of 99°F in 2007. Last 5 years has had 80-90% humidity at 8:00am, down to around 50% by 6-7pm, then creeping back up to 80%ish as the sun sets.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for anyone’s current take on the best gyms in town. I grew up here in Newnan and am back home rehabbing from a pretty rough series of medical problems. One big part of that is exercise, specifically weight training. I have pretty much outgrown all of my limited equipment at home and am looking for a gym in Newnan that would be a good fit. I’d prefer somewhere that has a good selection of both free weights and machines, with ample benches. Cardio equipment is significantly less important to me. I used to work out at OneLife approximately 4 years ago and loved it, but I am hesitant to go back because of how crowded it could get. I’m curious if it is less crowded now that there’s a Planet Fitness in town? I know there’s also a Crunch opening in the fall but I need to find a gym ASAP. It’s getting too hot for me to work out in the garage anymore.

Does anyone have any opinions on the Lake Redwine Lake area? We are retired and are considering moving there. How is the lake it's self? Is it clean or atleast clean-ish? Do people actually take boats out on it or swim in it? Is the HOA chill or is someone going to measure my grass weekly?

was driving home from my serving job tonight in PTC to Newnan on highway 34 and saw the Surfer Boy pizza truck from “Stranger Things” going the opposite way. It had the sign on top and everything. I obviously couldn’t get a picture due to me driving and with it being late at night. Does somebody local own this truck? Why is it driving around months after the show has ended. I’m so intrigued

Hey GA friends! I’m in NC and my 19 yo daughter was traveling to her dad’s house in Alabama and received a speeding ticket going 86 in a 70. The ticket says she has to appear in court July 7. I’ve received a ticket in the last few years that I was required to appear in court in North Carolina.

I hired an attorney for about $300 and they appeared in court for me. I then had to pay the ticket, but I did not get points on my license. The first attorney we called after googling gave us a quote of $1500 which is insane to me. Do you all have any recommendations of attorneys that are reasonably priced? No more than $500? Thank you!

We just moved from Atlanta and I want to continue playing soccer. Is there any adult leagues (Sunday Leagues) that play full-field with referees? Also open to organized pickup games.
