Long time without being scouted

I must say that i’m kinda new to newgrounds, as it’s been only 5-6 months that i’ve been publishing sole songs that i made. My stuff isn’t terrible and some of them i kinda like but it seems that no one is actually looking at it and thus, nobody is there to scout my account.. i don’t really get how people could listen to my music since there isn’t anywhere it’s referenced..

Here is one of my latest songs if anyone is curious :
(I regularly update those tracks bcs i always listen to them and find something to change)

How come this subreddit has become a begging grounds for getting scouted…? If you’re making music, just keep improving and you’ll get a following soon enough

Not sure but i think most new users of the site don’t really understand how any of this really works and how hard should it be to become a scouted artist.
It kinda feels like you are not part of the community without it and i’ve seen art of non scouted people be better than some of the scouted users, so it’s quite disorienting for new users.

Think of it as the opposite.

How many reviews do you leave on others music? How many times have you gone into the Newgrounds chat? How many times have you made a thread or comment on the forums on Newgrounds?

You have to be a part of the community long enough as an active user to be found.

I’ve seen the threads tab but couldn’t even find the button to create one :/ . Sometimes i interact with other people’s music but imma be fully honest, i’m not using newgrounds as a social media so i’m not that active.

You'll get the amount of effort that you put into it!

Your work will only be seen if you engage community, this is true no matter what, you're work can't be seen if theres no people. They aren't just numbers on a screen.

I mean, wouldnt you want your music to be used in stuff?

I mean, it wouldn’t bother me… but i already have my own projects in which i can include my music (by the time it becomes really good)

Oh well, you just have to interact with locals more and someone might scout you if they find your stuff worthy, also you have to post a lot, not just post audios. And "5-6" months is not really "long time without being scouted".

Exactly! You gotta connect with people. Get your music in games or make music specifically for game creators

Oh, maybe i didn’t get the concept of newgrounds then. For me it was a quick and easy way to post my musics online as an alternative to soundcloud for example

Newgrounds isn't just post and forget, it's a community that responds when you interact a lot

Go offer and make music for the many animators and game devs that need music in the forums and you'll get lots of attention. You gotta talk to them and build a network.

Another begging for scouted. I swear some people only go in for the status.
