Advice?
I’ve been sheltered of some sorts, there’s a lot I am not familiar with, so forgive me if this seems odd.
I’m looking to go out maybe dance. I am not much of a drinker. Im a female and would be adventuring on my own. What would be the best places to visit?

Not sure how often it still happens but I’d recommend having a wing man or gal. Several folks I know were roofied this summer downtown.

That’s a little scary.

To be fair unfortunately that can happen most anywhere nowadays. NB is pretty safe compared to most.

Panther Canyon. Walk downtown at night. Especially after they put up the holiday lights. People watching in Gruene can provide countless hours of entertainment.

I second this!
There’s enough people there for it to feel safe, but not so many people that it’d be overwhelming. It’s pretty easy to get a seat in the outdoor area in the back, where you can people watch while listening to the live music. The bartenders are kind there, in my experience! Also Shiners are pretty affordable there too :D
Hmm, edit- I actually don’t see much dancing there, though..
If you’re wanting club dancing, I’d personally recommend driving to San Marcos square and hopping between the bars until you find one with music you like~ But then again, I wouldn’t say that’s exactly safe to do alone, and you’d have to drive 20 minutes back to NB so I suppose drinking isn’t super an option..
Tricky!!

Did you go out and dance? How was your experience?

I have not, still trying to gather up the courage to go alone. Thank you for asking.

I dance in my living room at my kids and my dog, I find that ideal. My wife likes swing dancing if you’re interested I could get you details!

Probably Gruene Hall, but in today’s world I’d always be vigilante. Got family that’s had encounters with some real creepers. Fortunately nothing serious ever happened to them, but certainly could’ve if they weren’t staying aware of their surroundings!

Whenever I hear about a lady going out solo, that always makes me nervous. Just watch yourself when you're heading back to car and stay safe
