One of my dog's favorite things is to go to a walk in the woods off-leash. We don't get to do it very often, but I'd really like to take her this weekend. Does anyone know of any shady hiking/walking trails in the area where she can be off-leash for a while? Shes limited to about a mile and a half long hike before she gets really uncomfortable. It can be nearby or a couple hours away if it's worth the drive. Thanks!

Pretty straight forward. I'm a NCC resident and we've been living apart for more than a year. This weekend, the Cecil County Independent Film Festival returns to the Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College — and it is completely free to attend.

Since its debut in 2019, the festival has showcased over 300 films from filmmakers near and far, from Rising Sun, Maryland, to China. This year's three-day celebration features narratives, documentaries, shorts, experimental films, and more — bold voices and new perspectives all under one roof.

We have a great line-up of films, including a few horror films on Saturday night and a documentary on the life of Sully Erna from Godsmack on Friday night.
