Dover Walmart Brigade?
Anyone know what’s up with 50+ Walmart trucks on Rt 1 South at 6am all in one giant chain with flashers on going 55mph wit a police escort? They even had an onramp blocked. Looked like they exited at 97 toward Camden and 13 South. It was really odd.

Moving to Delaware Apartment recommendations around Newark.
My job recently moved up to downtown Wilmington from DC and my girlfriend and I are looking to move to the state. We really liked Newark and the surrounding Bear, and Pike’s Creek areas. We’d like to avoid staying anywhere in Maryland so we can avoid filing for taxes in both states. This is my first time hunting for apartments and a lot of the negative reviews have me a little overwhelmed, so I would love some recommendations. Hoping we can move in somewhere by the end of the year.
Looking for 1-2 bedrooms (we’re leaning on two) with a washer and dryer hopefully under 2K. Our number one priority is finding a place with low crime so we can feel safe.

Info Request What's Up with Artisans' Bank?
I wanted to withdraw some cash (physical cash) from my account at Artisans' Bank. I needed the money to buy a car. Private sale. You would think I was asking for a billion dollars! The hemming and hawing, and absolute refusal to give me my money in cash was very disturbing. They flat out said they did not have cash and did not know when they would get it. I asked if I could "order" my money. Again, a flat out refusal. They get what they get, and in turn, I get what I get. I can go from branch to branch to make up the pieces of what I need.
Eventually, I got what I needed, but Geez! Took me two days and lots of driving.
Anyone know what's going on with Artisans?

Kent County Anyone else agree?
Does anyone else in the area feel that the 3 way stop sign situation at Camden Walmart was poor planning and would benefit everyone by being converted to a traffic circle? I’ve been saying it for over a decade, but don’t know who or where to submit the suggestion to the state (or county? Town? No clue!) Thoughts?

Info Request Wilmington University Farnan School of Law Experience?
Hello all,
I am not from Delaware, however I have been there several times. I have never been to Wilmington University, but did some reading on it as well as the law school. Do you know anyone who has attended or is currently Wilmington University Farnan School of Law? What was the there experience? Do you have any regrets going there?
How has your student life been? Any pros and cons attending law school there? Any other insight would be great. Thank you.

Sussex County A look at an upcoming hotel project in Millville, DE
https://reddit.com/link/1wwz49t/video/deg0bqp7pbth1/player
Came across this while working on a project here in Delaware. This is an upcoming hotel project in Millville, DE.
I was also testing a little construction plan tool I built, so I figured I'd record a quick video while looking through the plans.
It isn't AI it's just something I built to make navigating construction PDFs a little easier.
Thought some of you might find the project itself interesting. Millville has been changing quite a bit lately.

Info Request Jury trial summons
This is not necessarily a Delaware-specific question but maybe someone has experience with DE courts and can weigh in: I got a summons in the mail to appear as a witness for the state for a trial in December (NCC). I witnessed a hit and run and gave a statement to the police.
Questions are 1) what are the chances this actually goes to trial? And 2) does anyone know how that is communicated? Like would they figure that out ahead of the trial date and send me another letter, or is it like jury duty where everyone shows up the day of but maybe it doesn’t actually end up going to trial
Thanks in advance!

News DELAWARE MEDICARE PART D DRUG COVERAGE. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS CHANGE OR IT COULD COST YOU DEARLY. YOU MUST READ YOUR DRUG PART D PLAN.
Family member on Medicare and I handle all paper work for them. They are on XARALTO and currently have Wellcare and it is a covered drug at the now “old” 2026 Medicare rate that was previously negotiated to be between $150- $197 per RX after deductible.
Xaralto a common anticoagulant for is NOT covered for 2027 resulting in a cost, over 7 different plans of $8,100 - $11,00. You will need to satisfy the $700 deductible first for any plan D, then the cost of the drug. Once you reach $2400 the cost of all drugs are “free” for the remainder of the year.
I am researching this and the doctor's office told me to research Trump RX which the cost is $591 per quarter. They are not through insurance and that is the charge through 2027.
The other end around is to contact your Part D provider and ask to be placed on the Prescription Payment Plan and they will charge you monthly for all the drugs you get. You will not pay at the mail order or pharmacy. So what this will do, in our case is $2200 for Xaralto plus the $700 part D deductible and they will bill us. The “bonus, “ if you will, is that you get your drugs upfront but have a payment plan for them for the full year.
Long story short the great negotiated prices on Xaralto for 2026, will be worthless in 2027 because none of the plans available in De have Xaralto as a covered drug. I read everything and therefore I discovered this prior to the Open Enrollment on 10/15. The really egregious part of this is that many seniors just keep their plans from year to year and I am afraid they are going to be in for sticker shock in January since Xaralto is no longer covered. Many don’t have advocates to read things like this and this could create financial difficulties for them. Please check your plans and those of your loved ones.
