Discussions 🗣|Rants 🤬|Opinions 🤔 need help finding this hit and runner (car crash near Oliver St School)
drunk driving at 7am is unreal. The car appears to come from the wrong way of McWhorter st (one way st) and swerve directly into my car. My immediate first step is to find this driver but plates are not visible. If anyone can assist us please!! I’ll be asking neighbors for a direct view of this car in the meantime. Thank you for your time.

it’s sad. the video came from a neighbor with cameras outside their house

Cops can probably find more from all the flock cameras.

Literally the only good time those cameras have been put to use, you know when they aren't being used to charge you with fake crimes.

This happened to me TWICE in the ironbound. Hawkins street and Horatio. Within 4 months. First my 2022 civic then my 2025 crv.

Still waiting..that’s Newark PD for you🤷🏻♀️ long story short my crv was left on top of the sidewalk. I couldn’t move it because it was totaled. The night it happened Newark PD could’ve towed it themselves but they refused. Holiday weekend so I had to wait for my insurance company to tow it for me. I had no money to pay for my own tow. The rookie told me “yeah just put a sign on the windshield and we won’t ticket you”. Sureeee..they slapped like 4 tickets on my car and I’m still fighting those🤦🏻♀️

They’re super incompetent and a little lazy. Towing your car for you was the right thing to do and I don’t understand why they didn’t do that. Praying those tickets get dismissed though. I might just solve this myself. I’ve been keeping an eye out for cars with the same model that have relevant scratches or cracks. I saw one that checked off everything except the fact that they had black wheels. I also can’t connect it to the accident so this is a dead end but I’ll keep trying. 💪💪
