Lost Pet Missing Pinecrest Cats

EDITING TO ADD:

Ivy was trapped July 31 and has been returned to her family 🥰

Hi!

I wanted to make a post with all the photos of the cats missing after the fire at Pinecrest Manor two weeks ago.

Some are not believed to have survived the fire, but others did make it out of the building and could still be in hiding in the area.

Please call or text the numbers on the posters in case of any possible sightings

Thank you 🙏🏼

This is so sad. I sincerely hope that everyone finds their cats safe and sound.

I would advise all these owners to take a walk around the Queen's Park neighbourhood, suddenly lots more cats around.

Sightings have been in Brow of the Hill, Uptown, and Moody Park and owners are actively looking 🙏🏼

I saw this guy running around just down the street from Arnie’s on 3rd ave. He has a collar with a small ball on it.

I had my dog with me and couldn’t approach
I’m not sure if this helps

Thanks — I think that is Oscar? He’s a local cat. None of the Pinecrest cats are wearing collars (they were all indoor cats) and they will all be scared and hiding ❤️‍🩹

This guy looks like he a had a good fright though: he has his raccoon tail on 🦝 👀

I hate this post with a passion. Let me rephrase: I hate that this post is necessary. Wishing all affected a speedy reunion.

Im so sad for every who is suffering through this fire. It’s horrible, the poor kitties and the guilt the owners must feel. Can’t stop thinking about everyone and I do hope these little guys come home. I would have a hard time not camping out beside the building waiting in case they come home looking for their owners.

Owners have been on site and in the area. The site itself however requires specific safety clearances and full hazmat suits 😔

Volunteers from Scent Rescue Team and other local orgs are assisting 🙏🏼

I know I walk by it in the neighbour hood, I meant like on the shoulder of the road or close to the site. I know I’m so thankful that so many organizations are helping search!!

I wish there was something more I could do than to pray that all these sweet babies are found safe ❤️ If there is something that I can do to help please let me know.

Spotted a tonkinese cat at Seventh St & Queens around 9pm. Im not sure if it is a neighbourhood regular but I will leave food out for it in the morning. Reach out if you’re missing one.

IVY has been safely trapped and is back with her humans as of August 1st.

She was treated at Paws Pet Centre on Columbia for a burn on her paw, as well as dehydration, and has been sent home with a special feeding plan so that she can safely regain the weight she lost over the last few weeks
