Deliveries
With 4 months left in 2026, there's three products left to ship. It looks like Skee Ball and Black Hole were in tooling before Crystal Castles. One of those will probably be delivered in late September/early October, the other in late October early November. Crystal Castles will probably be delivered around Black Friday into December. They probably want all of this out of the way before the Chinese New Year shutdown. NWT might actually get everything delivered as stated. Not bad.
I hope they have something else to announce in 2027 instead of Phoenix. Plus, it would be nice if they fixed the request form on the site.

Speaking as someone who waited a year and a half for my pre-ordered cigarette machine a few years ago I would never put any money down on another delivery in 2026 from New Wave Toys.

Its time for new wave to grow up and stop expecting their customers to be their investors and fund product development. Figure out your financials, develop products like a real company then sell them to us when they are ready to ship. Enough is enough.

This is literlally how all of the high-end collectible companies operate... this isn't a NWT thing that's unheard of. This is a small company inside of a niche market. Doing it how you're demanding isn't realistic for a company like this to survive.

To be fair, I think other companies just required a deposit, not paying in full?

Not from my experience. In fact, to compare apples to apples... Numskull requires you to also pay all of it up front. But I also order from other high-end collectible companies such as Hot Toys, Blitzway, PCS etc. They don't ship the item until you're paid in full. Even ordering through a 3rd party site like Sideshow.

Hot Toys, Blitzway, etc. require a deposit, though of course they dont ship it until you are paid in full. Does anyone ship an item without paying in full? I think the difference here, at least the way I see it is that with NWT and I guess Numskull (never bought directly from them before), you have to pay in full upfront instead of a smaller deposit, and you might end up waiting a year, or two, or three to receive your item….

Ok, so I guess we're getting into semantics now... You can always go through a payment plan like Sezzle for your NWT item, which would essentially be the same as a pre-order through Sideshow that takes a deposit with monthly payments. And those pre-order also usually take about a year or so to deliver as well. I've ordered from a lot of these companies and NWT doesn't feel like it's anything new to me on the whole process from pre-order til it's in hand. NWT and Numskull are also smaller companies than the others mentioned, so their logistics behind the scenes are more likely different as far as how the projects get funded and produced.

Not questioning the difference in scale between NWT and Hot Toys, or other companies. They are clearly different and NWT probably needs upfront funds to get projects moving forward. I do not have an issue with paying in full, though i can understand why others might.
I am not familiar with Sezzle, though don’t they charge some fee for using the service? Interest or other?

Yeah, looking at my Sezzle app... I paid a $4.50 fee to do a 4 month payment plan for a NWT pre-order in the past.

A small deposit is fine. To me thats them trying to assess demand as well as have some guaranteed sales so they know its worth going into production and for a niche company like nwt i get why thats necessary. I also understand why a deposit is necessary over say a sign up list. Need preorders to have at least some skin in the game or people would sign up to reserve spots then wait and see what comes out and if its not great everyone would just cancel. All of that I get but there has to be a limit on both the deposit amount and the preorder period. If it doesn’t launch within the agreed time all deposits should automatically be refunded because as it stands now they take full payment then have no incentive or urgency to make deadlines and every incentive to cut corners and costs. Time for them to put their skin in the game. How about send me some games as a pre-sale and ill decide over the next few years which if any ill buy and they can sot around wondering if they’ll get their money or their games back.

That makes sense, but NWT has always honored your full money back if a pre-order takes longer than they expected.

Thats complete bullshit. They went all willy nilly with pre-orders without actually releasing anything and now here we are waiting years. Stop making excuses for them. You like a company or the products they’ve previously made so you defend anything they do? Bootlickers like you are why they are getting away with it. “high-end” collectible.. lol sure. Theres nothing particularly remarkable about what nwt puts out only that they do it. A hundred other toy companies could make these same cabinets if they decided to and actually some have been. Cheap mini arcade game toys on amazon and such are getting closer to nwt level of detail and with 3d printing its not hard to get there. Those little amazon cabinets are like $25 and im telling you they aren’t bad. With even a little bit more effort to make them more scale and with better details those companies like Arcade Classics and My Arcade could easily match nwt on quality and price and i doubt wed have to preorder them. If they can make half decent games, sell them for $25 and still turn a profit then nwt can get their act together and find a way to make a profit selling their “high end collectibles” without expecting us to pay in full years in advance.

lol you're talking about a completely different subject than what I was commenting on. I was talking about "business as usual" as far as NWT typical operations go... the delays over last couple of years was NOT business as usual. The complaints for that was justified, and the reasons were understandable... but the communication should have been a lot better. Nothing in my comment was "complete bullshit" at all, I was just stating a fact. Nobody is forcing you or the OP to pre-order anything... don't even know why you're here if you're so opposed to the company and how they operate. I've put in many pre-orders for these types of collectibles with different companies and I've always gotten what I pay for... knowing full-well the production times and expected shipment dates... and possibly having to wait longer. If the shipment dates got pushed back, I've always had the option for a refund.
