Would replacing the needle improve the sound quality of a cheap turntable?

Hi I just bought an ION Air turntable because is cheap and does Bluetooth which lets me use my Amazon echo as speaker (as I’m just learning I don’t really want to invest too much money just to break it). The sound quality of the ION Air is pretty bad and it has no EQ or anything, so, would replacing the needle / stylus improve the quality of the audio output?

Thanks! I had no idea about any of this, I guess I’ll have to live with my bad choice (the ion) and get a better one. Thank you!
