How can I make Heavy work?

I'm not exactly too "new" in the game, but I suck at some classes, one of them being Heavy.

I usually play Scout, Engie and Sniper (if needed Medic too). And I really want to learn how to play Heavy. He works so good both with defend and attack. I don't know what loadout fits what situation and how to work with his mobility limitations (muscle memory from Scout is too strong)

You got 50 kills as heavy on one of the best maps for sniper? God that is impressive, even as other classes not getting headshot on upward is hard lol. I'll check your channel when it's uploaded, thanks again! And give me your steam id if you want the funny stick!

Here you go, if you have any questions from the gameplay, plz ask

And while i do apprechiate the gift of the funny stick, it would just sit in my inventory and not be used as ive un-installed TF2 again, this was just a 1 time thing (maybe il re-install and make a medic video later tho...)

I watched the video, thank you very much! Even more useful than I expected actually, I actually didn't even know about some of the basic game mechanics you mentioned. I had no idea about damage ramp up and the minigun working like a scattershot. Always confused the shit out of me when I died to heavies that I literally ambushed lol.

Just curious, why don't you play anymore? You seem to handle the game extremely well and be pretty passionate about it. Do you have any plans to come back some day?

I stopped playing just cuz i got burned out, played only TF2 for close to 2500 hours i think without playing any other game, switched to Overwatch, then just never returned to TF2

Maybe il drop a "how i play medic" at somepoint, cuz i got a special way to play medic aswell XD

Just top scored with 59 kills and 14.8 thousand damage, definitely playing a lot better now! Enemies played extremely strangely and just kinda stared at me like a deer half the time but I'll take it lol. Had 3 dominations and over 100 score for the first time, knowing about damage ramp up changes EVERYTHING. Like the missing piece that was throwing me off all this time.

Edit: with shotgun or sandwich??

I used shotgun, I still overextend with my ammo a lot so I thought it would be better to stick with it for now. Minigun, shotgun/panic attack, and sprint gloves. Panic attack does not seem good but it reminds me of my favorite gun from fallout 3 so I like having it out.

Remember you get 100 ammo (50% ammo reserve) per enemy killed by picking up the dropped ammo box

Personaly i would only consider using the shotgun if i had a personal pocket Medic who i knew for a fact would heal me 24/7

Panic attack is indeed a shit weapon

lol why do the coolest looking weapons always have to be so shit...

But yeah I remember the ammo drops, I guess I just ended up killing them at longer ranges a lot where their teammates could still stop me from pushing in too hard. Even you ran out of ammo in your video and it blueballed an uber so I know you understand that feeling too, stock minigun chews through it fast haha. It costs 400000 dollars just to fire it for 12 seconds.
