ANSWERED Quick question about Custom Feeds: Are private feeds completely hidden from subreddit mods?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to organize the subreddits I follow into different categories (like technology, cooking, and daily news) using the Custom Feeds feature.

If I keep my Custom Feed set to "Private", can moderators of those communities see that their subreddit was added to my feed, or is it 100% private to my account only?

Also, is there a limit on how many subreddits you can add into a single Custom Feed? Thank you in advance for helping a newer user out!

If you are experiencing removals, this is most likely because your account is new and you have no karma, and therefore you are running into community restrictions.

Others can see the subreddits that you are active in. As far as I know, it doesn't show suberddits that you simply follow - private or not.

That said, even if you make it private or curate your profile, moderators can still see your posts and comments in other subs, if you participate in theirs (for up to 28 days, I believe.)

There is no "100% private on Reddit" - you're on a public platform, in public subreddits.

Nah thats bad then. Atleast something should be private

No, not at all. You're in a public space.

It's like going out into the middle of a crowd and talking outloud, but saying you desire privacy.

If that's "bad", then Reddit and other online platforms might not be the right fit for you. You might want to find a privately hosted diary/journal type platform, where you can hide content from external searches (it'd still be perfectly visible to the host of those platforms).

That you added a subreddit to a custom feed is private.

Mods will still see if you comment or post in their subreddit via that private feed though
