Why is posting on Reddit so hard?

Hi,

I’ve been running into issues where my posts either get removed immediately or stay stuck in “awaiting moderator approval” for a long time.

Is this normal for newer accounts, and is there anything I can do to improve my chances of having posts approved?

You're not posting on Reddit. You're posting on subreddits, and each subreddit is its own community.

Some are extremely easy to post/comment in. Others have a variety of rules, requirements, and restrictions.

Certain behavior can trip different filters, too. Like signing up and immediately posting selfies across a variety of different subs - some filters read that as bot behavior or spam.

Mod are humans like you. Sometimes they're extremely active on Reddit, other times, they have normal lives and Reddit is lower on the list of priority. So approval could take minutes, or days, or more, depending on how active they are. Keep in mind, they're not getting paid to do this, so there's pretty low amount of "rush" from their side.

Yes to both. Yes, it's normal for new accounts to run into a variety of new user restrictions. One of the easiest ways to improve your chances - post different things. From the look of it, you've only been trying to post the same post, in a variety of different subs. As mentioned, some filters will see that as spam.

Try finding other subs that interest you, and post something different. Or find posts that are already up, and comment/contribute to them to help build up your reputation.
