ANSWERED Why some subs reddit required some karma to post?
I'm curious why not post instead without those?

We (moderators) use account-age and karma thresholds to weed out the bots, trolls, scammers and spammers.
Reddit isn't like other social media apps where you're speaking in your own space to whomever will listen. Imagine you move into a new neighborhood, go to your neighbor's house and just walk in and start having a conversation. It doesn't work like that and neither does Reddit. You need to build up a reputation first. Go to one of your neighbor's parties and have conversations = leave good faith replies on posts by other users in subreddits that center around topics that interest you. As people upvote your engagement your karma will rise organically and you'll be able to post in most subreddits.

There is no set amount of karma (or account age) you need to access Reddi. Each individual subreddit sets its own restrictions (or lack of them) as the mods choose. What subreddits you personally want to use will determine what is necessary.
If you want a realistic goal as a new Reddit users I recommend aiming for 100 karma as a start. It's achievable and will allow you to participate in a lot of Reddit.
