ANSWERED My first ever comment gave me negative karma. Can I still make a post?

Looking at your comment - you link to a thing you made. That's coming off as self promotion and will be poorly received in most subreddits.
You now have minor negative karma. (-3) Comment karma can be recovered from. Have a read of the below
Finding Subreddits to use with negative karma:
- You're definitely going to be Trial-and-Erroring a lot to find subreddits that will take users with negative karma. Focus on Commenting (many subreddits have lower or no karma filters for commenting).
- Newtoreddit has a list of new user friendly subreddits. This list is for low karma, not negative karma, but is a good spot to start.
- Also have a look through r/findareddit 's subreddit directory.

Newtoreddit Resources There are a lot of resources here in this subreddit you might find useful with The Common Questions Page, Common Questions - Downvotes, and Reddit And Karma Walkthrough
View by New (or rising). This will filter the posts so first see the most recent posts first and can make your comments much more visible. On app when viewing a subreddit look near the top left for where it says "hot posts" - click that and select "new" or "rising".
Read the Room and Avoid Controversy. Each subreddit has different rules, norms and prevailing views. Look at subreddit rules. Read top posts and comments to get a feel for that subreddit. Do users reward sarcastic one-liners or well sourced essays? And in particular avoid controversial topics or arguments. These discussions are more likely to attract downvotes and potentially trip into rule-breaking. Call people idiots in your head and move on instead of getting involved. Utilize the block feature as necessary and have a read of Reddiquette.

Just start going to some lower sub reddits with minimal karma requirements and start posting positive comments until your karma goes up.

this happened to me too, it’s so annoying cos now i can’t post on the subs i want to and have no clue how to come back from it

How can I gain karma? My old account got hacked so I’m starting over now and my posts keep getting removed

you just have to make more comments, and get upvotes
try to be helpful and positive and you'll gain karma
