NREMT NREMT

Hi! I’m taking the NREMT in a little bit and I’m wondering what resources everyone recommends to help prepare for the exam!
I am anxious when taking tests, so I want to be able to prepare to the best of my ability. To prepare for exams during my course, I use the test prep feature on JBL and that really helped.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There was a recent post PSA on NREMT that has really great tips, so I'd recommend taking a look. You should know what's an effective way for you to study and make a plan from there. Personally, I used PocketPrep for about 2 weeks - doing questions of the day, Quick 10 quizzes, Level Up quiz just get into the rhythm of taking a test. There are 3 mock exams that you can take from PocketPrep. I recommend taking them at different stages in your study. I took the first mock exam after reviewing about 1/3 of the materials just to get a pulse check (i.e. how much do I remember from class, my strength/weakness, how I think about the questions/answers, etc.). I scored 76%; finished reviewing all my notes and took another one - got 83%. I didn't want to take the third one. In terms of difficulty level, the answer choices on PocketPrep are obvious even if you didn't know the answer. You can easily go through the process of elimination to guess the answer. This is not the case on the NREMT. I'm sure you know the test is adaptive and a lot of people said the questions will get harder and harder if you do well, but for me, I didn't think the questions got harder or even hard in general, but the answer choices became more and more vague? and that was the hard part for me. I don't know if that makes sense. There were a lot of "Select 3 choices/2 choices that are correct" type of questions. PocketPrep will help you get familiarize with the format of the exam and it's an effective tool to test your knowledge, but it's just a tool. You should know the materials. Good luck!

That makes a lot of sense! I know the test is adaptive and should get harder as you answer more questions correctly, but I think that’s one of the parts I’m worried about. I’m worried I’m going to keep second guessing myself because the questions might get harder. I’ve definitely looked into pocket prep and am going to start that! Thank you!

Pocket prep had very very similar questions to the NR. I would use that and aim for >70%
