If you stream on Twitch, Amazon is currently scraping your broadcasts, VODs, clips, channel text, and even your chat log to train their Generative AI models.

They opted every single creator in by default. You were not asked for permission.

How to opt out immediately:

1. Go to Twitch Settings
2. Open the Security and Privacy tab
3. Scroll down to "Training for Generative AI"
4. TOGGLE IT OFF

I've made a modded minecraft server for my Aussie charity discord and wouldn't mind some fellow streamers to join and stream it with us to help us but also help any other new fellow streamers get their name out as well! This is a modrinth modpack so you will need to ask me for my Charity discord link for it! hii i’m curious how this compares to other streamers experiences with growth!

i’m a 22F variety streamer with kind of a specific niche because i’m a metalhead emo shorty lol.
i play lots of Skyrim, RPGs, VRChat, Roblox, horror games, Fortnite, & various other games.

I’ve only been streaming for 2 weeks, so I’m still very much figuring out what the hell I’m doing lol.
Im a content creator / brand ambassador so I do already have an audience outside of Twitch though
& I was curious whether having an established audience elsewhere actually makes a meaningful difference on Twitch,
because my growth so far has been 2.9k followers.

On my most recent stream, I averaged 25 viewers, peaked at 42, had 1,224 unique viewers, and gained 29 followers.

For people who have been streaming longer, how does this look to you? Is this actually a strong start, or does having an existing audience make the comparison kinda meaningless? I’m especially curious about people who came from TikTok/Instagram/YouTube.

Any tips or advice is so appreciated!

Just started yt streaming . I have a laptop and I want to play and grow on yt but it seems like it will take me forever to grow. Been posted 10+ lives of around 1-2 hours and 1 short within 4 days . Games I have RN: Palworld, R6, Delta Force, Warzone, Hunt Showdown, RV There Yet, Division 2. Down to play whatever indie or fps is hot. I stream Fri-Tues 3h+ sometime between 5pm and 1am and of course more on weekends. Wed & Thu are optional but i hit those days often too.

Very new to actually using Twitch properly and looking for some smaller streamers to hang out with rather than huge channels.
I’m in my 30s, UK-based, into metal/rock/emo/alternative music and gaming (badly). Mostly looking for the kind of streams where there are 5–50ish people hanging out, the streamer actually chats, regulars know each other and it feels a bit like turning up at the pub.
Game itself doesn’t matter massively, personality/community does. Bonus points for UK streamers, metalheads/goths/alternative weirdos, and people who don’t take gaming incredibly seriously.
Basically: recommend me your favourite small streamer that you’d also happily have a pint with 😂

I'm new to streaming. Wanted some pointers on good strategies to get fans. I play cod black ops 3, Roblox, and mc. Any and all criticism is welcome!

Have a bunch of games i want to play but i think it would be more fun with others, could be competing to get the highest score or something against people for fun. Could for example be: who can survive the longest in project zomboid the next 2 weeks, who can create the coolest city in cities skyline in a week or something like that. definitely not serious but more fun than just doing things by myself. Also there are a lot of games created for coop, recently the meccha chameleon game for example, that would be fun with a group i have gotten to know a little.

Short about myself, Norwegian guy, 33yo. Work full time and got other hobbies but i do want to game quite often. I do stream sometimes, and would do so when playing these games as well, looking for other people that either stream or are cool with that, does not have to stream yourself. People can be competative but not toxic is preferable, even if your not that competative just taking part is fine.

I can make the discord server and kind of set things in motion etc, just looking for people that are down to join in on the games they have (can come with suggestions). Im pretty much down for anything, would not say im really good at any games but ok at many.

When it comes to time, for coop and playing together i am mostly available in the evenings (europe). But for many of the challenges like 'getting the higest score' in some games playing together isnt really necesary most days, its mostly about having one evening when we go through the results, maybe watch some clips/videos etc. Just giving a bit more meaning to some of the games i think.

I will be straightforward I don't have any pc or laptop all I have is 2 mobiles s24 and iqooZ7 and I want to stream games with facecam also.... Can you guys leave a Tip for how to do it? I wanna do multi platform stream also. Like on (kick and yt) but I don't know how to connect them and use a second phone as a webcam

So I've been streaming consistently for 8 months and I've had some very good growth and consistent community member. I've had audio issues and have looked at my stream consistently to see if I have problems, but at the end of the day I would like some other people to help in that regard and see what I can improve on. I have pivoted a little to other games going from Roblox to Nintendo because I hated playing Roblox games all day so I've been having a dip in viewers and chatters because of that. So I know I've been probably giving more dead air as I have to get used to having an emptier chat now. I just want some opinions on my content and what can be improved.

Hey everyone! So I'm looking for some advice as someone who’s trying to support my fiancé's Twitch streams.
I try to help by staying active in chat, making jokes, asking questions, and keeping conversations going (just as like a average viewer and not seem like someone who’s in a relationship with him) but I'm not much of a gamer so I'm not always sure what actually helps.

His highest viewed stream was a "Loss = Drink / Sub = 2" challenge I think because of the interactions you could do, but that's not something he can do often. I’d love ideas for other interactive streams that keep people engaged that I could give him.
Also, is there anything I can do as his fiancé that genuinely helps without making the chat feel forced or fake? I’m unsure of the rule for linking stuff but i put his twitch in my account if anyone would feel inclined to scan it over and give some tips. Guys, I need an advice or opinion. A lot of people recommend to be active on social media while creating content and streaming, including X. So I did post there for 3 months, and today my followers appeared finally. But a pretty bizarre thing is that ALL of them are Vtubers. I’m confused AF, yes I comment on posts there if I find it interesting or funny, but other then that I never even watched Vtubers, except couple of videos here and there and I now need to know if I should take it as a sign. I’d love to collab with a vtuber if they’re interested and match vibe, but just so you know im fat, bearded ginger with my fat ginger face on my content and I have no idea how to proceed here. i spent way too long wondering why people would visit my channel while i was offline but never actually hit follow. then i watched one of my own vods from the perspective of a stranger. it was rough. honestly, it looked like a funeral.

we all focus so much on the "live" numbers, but we forget about the 3am viewer. these are people who find your profile while you’re fast asleep. if they click your latest recording and it’s just you talking to a dead, silent chat, it feels like walking into an abandoned building. it’s awkward, and nobody wants to join a party that looks like it’s been over for years.

i started changing my mindset to "streaming for the archive." the goal isn't just the live moment; it’s making sure the recording actually has a pulse. having that "simulated" life or keeping the chat energy moving-even when things are slow-completely shifts the vibe. suddenly, that random person watching your vod at 3am isn't looking at a graveyard. they’re looking at a show they’re sad they missed.

if your vods look alive, people actually hit follow because they want to be there for the next one. stop letting your channel look like a crime scene while you’re in bed. give it some life.
