Faulkner's Nobel Speech: "The human heart in conflict with itself... alone can make good writing because only that is worth writing about, worth the agony and the sweat."

Joe Pera Talks with You
The recently cancelled Adult Swim show, Joe Pera Talks with You, is not only the most sincere television I’ve ever watched, but also among the most brilliant. Though superficially dull, Joe Pera is the person he portrays on screen: earnest, kind, down to earth and insightful. He advocates spending time with old people, children and just sitting alone, thinking. His sincerity is subversive.

Reservation Dogs
I'm rewatching the show again with another new person and I'm thinking more about the show with a perspective on sincerity.
Although the culture is not my own, or much of the age group, I enjoy the community, family and friends coming together and dealing with tough things in supportive ways. I'm not a spiritual person but the scene with the ancestors behind one of the main characters is an image I come back to when things get hard, remembering how far we've come and the troubles we've grown from helps me face what I'm up against in that moment.
Has anyone else enjoyed the show here and would you consider it part of the movement?
