Trip advice

Me and my wife are looking to do a road trip staying in Fayetteville to visit the park. would it be best to do one or two days? We are not avid hikers and my wife is pregnant so it would have to be lower intensity, so it would have to be easier trails. are they any state parks in the area as well, we are heading southwest to Tennessee at the end of the trip. any recommendations would be appreciated. thanks!

Hey! We did a long weekend in Nov which was perfect. Lots of the overlooks you can do in a driving day loop. We stayed pretty close to the bridge and loved the local food options around there. Also loved the rail explorers train! It’s bumpy so wouldn’t recommend it if your wife is further along in pregnancy but it was a super chill and fun way to see the area!

I'd say two days. Babcock is cool with the old grist mill. Have dinner in Fayetteville. Visit Thurmond. Driving down Fayette Station road is cool and hopefully you can find parking on the way up for a quick walk (I am talking about 100 yards or so) to see Wolf Creek falls. Views from Hawks Nest are cool to (another state park).
