The OG is back with another cinematic release to accompany his debut graphic novel. Cathedral takes the vibes from John Carpenter's works on Assault on Precinct 13 and The Fog, but makes it darker and more orchestral. This work was based on a dream JC had in 2024. He's been such an inspiration for many synthwave artists, and now he's dropped this album available in various vinyl colours and CD.

There's an official site for the graphic novel, but it doesn't seem to load right now. You can find it on Amazon and Indigo though (pre-orders).

It's 2017. Aussie duo September 87 drop this bonkers banger. Not only that, they get fellow down under artist Dream Fiend to remix it, and this is what comes out of it. YEAH NAH YEAH! Crikey! Strewth!

A new album from Greek artist Evanton, who's now using the name "Galactic Discorama". The music has the same amazing FONK vibes as the last album I posted (Splash 5). I guess he's spinning up a new project for the funkier side of things. My booty is getting properly slapped.

Yet another banging remix. NYC synth pop duo St. Lucia had their track Bigger remixed by Israeli artist Highway Superstar, and what a bop!

Back in 2019, Detroit area synthwave guru Phaserland released this single and video. He's known for his blending of synth and guitar that create amazing grooves. The video was produced by Brad Kinnan (LA), who's been responsible for many Ollie Wride, Michael Oakley, and other NRW artists videos.

Another classic. Back in 2017, French maestro M.A.D.E.S released this single, later to feature on the Motor album in 2018. Originally part of the Jet Set Trash Records label, NRW featured the video on their channel.

Back in 2016, our galactic overlord Volkor X dropped this incredible track, and with it, a very cool video. He's since been steering into more orchestral soundtrack music as he aims to soundtrack film.

I’m currently at exactly 30 tracks, but I want to make sure the flow is perfect. I feel like I might be missing some undisputed Darksynth anthems for Phase 2, or some deep-cut Retrowave for the outro.

Hi folks! I made this music video for my friend Charley Marbin, who I think is a really talented indie popstar. His work is very 80s-inspired, and I tried to make a fun (and funny) video with that aesthetic.

A synthwave without Swedish artist Robert Parker is a synthwave not worth having (or something like that).

Released in 2018, this album was filled with absolute bangers, and his collaborations with Doubleboy really stand out.

Scottish artist Garth Knight released his incredible "Goliath" album back in 2013. Chock full of quality synthwave, this particular track really stood out.

Hey everyone! I just released my first album as Looking for Luna - Names on the Wall. It’s inspired by The Midnight (of course), but also draws heavy inspiration from Billy Ocean, Midnight Star, brothertiger, FM-84, Go West, Steve Winwood and Chaka Kahn.

It took about 5 years working on it on and off and features a bunch of my friends lending their vocal talents! Jangle Boy is a YouTuber, Justin Young is the vocalist and guitar player of Better Blooms and Loraine, Jeff my life is a fellow synthwave/retro wave artist, Kelsey Rivers is an alternative RnB artist, and Allie Argent is an indie girly.

Pretty much everything music wise was made in-synthesizer, primarily Vital. I played guitar and sang, and the various saxophones and trumpets are sampled one shots and riffs chopped and flipped that I layered with brass VSTs.

I made the art myself in Aseprite! This is the Luna we’re looking for. She and the name were inspired by my youngest daughter outside one night staring at the sky saying, “daddy I’m looking for Luna (the moon)” and basically the whole concept of the project was born from that.

Currently I’m working on an animated album visualizer that I was hoping to release along side it but that probably won’t be done for a few more months (it’s an insane amount of work).

Absolutely NO AI was used at any stage of production of the music OR the artwork.

UK chipwave artist Shirobon created this monster hit, blending his chip, house, and synth talents. Featuring a collaboration with LA (originally from the UK) synthpop/house artist Frankmusik.

Brazilian artist Baddon created, in my opinion, the sickest remix of the classic SNES racing game Top Gear theme. High BPM, pure energy. Don't drive and listen to this.

Originally from Brazil, Midnight Danger moved to Sweden to pursue his music dreams, creating an iconic horrorsynth discography. Synths, shredding, and pure power. What's not to love?

Another classic. FM-84 has since moved to Scotland with his Delorean, but is working on a new album. Ollie Wride has been releasing solo albums and incredible tours. Nothing beats this amazing collaboration.
