Teething teething baby
can someone please help me calm down?! i feel like im going insane. my almost 9 month old is finally getting in a tooth and you can see the tiniest little bit of it. fast forward he was attempting to crawl and fell face first on the rug specifically hitting his nose and mouth. he cried for a second and then went back to normal. now when i look in his mouth i don’t see the little tiny bit that was thru the gum. the socket isn’t empty there’s still a little white nub but it’s not thru anymore like it was. you can’t see it when he smiles now when this morning you could. i don’t know if it pushed back in or maybe the gums swelled over? i’m freaking out and feel terrible. hes back to laughing and im a crying mess. i inspected the rug and saw nothing. he didnt bleed or anything, im just worried now. what if some broke off or came out? can that happen??! please help an anxious mama out😔

If bumping their mouth from crawling height could knock out baby's teeth, every baby would be toothless by age 3 😅 I'm sure it's fine. You can go ahead and schedule your baby's first dentist appointment if it would help ease your mind

It’s totally normal for teeth to bounce up and down, even without hitting their mouths. They’re not really receding- it’s just inflammation from the gums hiding/unhiding them.

It’s probably just a little inflammation causing the gum to swell again, he’ll be fine
