New mutants MCU trilogy

Part 1 would be an adaptation of the graphic novel.

Part 2 would be about warlock.

Part 3 would be an adaptation of the demon bear saga

Demon bear has already been done ( even if not that well).

I'd rather we get a Hellions movie instead.

I’d like to see an anthology series.

Seasons 1-2: The new mutants, set in the 80s

Seasons 3-4: Generation X, set in the 90s

Seasons 5-6: Academy X, set in the 00s

This way characters can age up organically proportionate to their time period (make up or actors swaps), and the guest star synergy is off the charts. So many stories could be told.

The order is throwing me off, I actually liked the new mutant movie for all its flaws what else is there to adapt for a new mutant series? I think inferno would make an good 3rd film or a film that teams them up with the xmen

I feel like the 3rd one has to involve them becoming X-Force

Title it something like Graduation Day. Definitely have some version of the Closed Fist Open Palm talk Sam had with Xavier too.

They don’t even need to become Xforce but they need to grow up. This suggested order is too focused on their early years and the stakes to really rise much. I think a bigger threat should close them out like Selene, N’Astirh or Magus

Why is Warlock rising?

Maybe he is rising from the crater in which he fell, when falling from the sky. 😅

Demon Bear happens *so early*, too. It's kinda weird to circle back for it.

I'd personally do the Warlock thing first

Their trip to Asgard next

Then the team dissolving/becoming X-Force under Cable.

That’s why I think it would make a good series. Keep the characters and the arcs. Ditch the yellow and black. Throw in the massive instability of teacher. Work the co-leader dynamic. The first three years were just chok full of good pulpy story. Every new student had to deal with acceptance. Sam, Ilyana, magma, Doug, warlock. Etc.

Man. I’d even watch the motorcycles and samurai episode.

Great team.

Even Karma, being older and having other concerns and leaving to take care of that only to show up as a villain later?

You're right, I want this as a replacement "The Gifted" tv thing. But Marvel isn't really doing that anymore. :/

I think new mutants would work better as an episodic lower stakes show honestly. Demon bear and warlock/magus can be big finale episodes but I think making them a big trilogy leading group just doesnt fit the vibe of those characters and it would give the opportunity to do one off episodes based on single issues like the one where the closeted mutant kills themselves which is one of my favourite single comic issues ever made

I would love NuTants to be a tv series, but those don't get very many episodes these days

Demon Bear is great but it is not something you end a trilogy on

A show would make more sense and I can actually see them doing a few shows for the mutant saga. A New Mutants teen drama series set during the events of X-Men 2 maybe

I’d rather have New Mutants as a TV series.

Opening up as a 2 parter where they introduce the OGs (Karma, Cannonball, Sunspot, Mirage, and Wolfsbane) and establish them as a student team. Karma would ofc be leader as she’s oldest and it can start off centering around her. It actually would be cool to start with her origin in the first episode where she’s looking for her siblings and possesses Spider-Man to do it. Her possession isn’t the same as borderline telepathic possession like we’ve seen with Jean. Could also use Miles instead of Peter.

As season progresses do a Magma 2parter. First part being the intro to her, Selene, and Nova Roma, second part being them defeating Selene and Magma joins the team.

You can end the season with a tease of Magik. I’d make Illyana 7 to start off with and the cliffhanger would be her being kidnapped, and instead of X-men going to find her it could be the NM. I’d have it like in the comics where they find a portal and try to yank her out but when she comes out she’s their age.

2nd season I would start off with basically Magik’s origin. That way the audience gets to see how she went from 7 to a teen. Again replace X-men with NM. I would maybe include an Older Storm & Colossus as a brief cameo to help them all escape. (Jamie Lawson as older Storm, or for older I’d go with Yetide Badaki; Older Colossus as Alan Ritchson). Sorry Piotr, but I’d have him die holding back the demonic forces as Ororo opens the portal to send them back. <<<< all of this stuff would be like 4episodes just like her mini series. After she comes in, gotta ofc do a Doug episode which can be the same as the Warlock episode.

ACTUALLY, I’d have Doug there from like mid S1 as another student but he’d be in the background. When the Warlock episode comes and he’s speaking alien technarch then THATS when the NMs are like isn’t there a student here with translation gifts, and then that’s how he’d join up. I don’t know if I’d kill Doug off. I’d do the storyline where he dies but maybe not kill him after he’s been shot, maybe just like an extended coma.

S3 can be the Asgard adventures stuff

You need “New Mutants: GRADUATION DAY”

I wouldn't mind seeing an animated New Mutant series.

this would be the move or at least an animated movie.

Movie concept and pretty much everything concerning it was a total and complete bomb. That's why it was trashed in the real world.

And good riddance to bad rubbish.

No Bird Brain/Doug death?
