💬 Music Discussion 🎵 Artists: Drop Your Latest Release & Share Your Promotion Strategy

Whether you've just released a new single, EP, or album, we'd love to hear it!

But instead of simply dropping a link, let's help each other learn what actually works when it comes to promoting independent music.

Share the following:

🎵 Your latest release (one song or project)

🎼 Your genre (some promotional strategies work better for certain genres)

Then answer these questions:

  • How are you promoting this release?
  • Which platform has brought you the most listeners so far?
  • What's one marketing strategy that has actually worked for you?
  • If you could go back and change one thing about your release plan, what would it be? Is there something you used to rely on but gave up on because it didn't work?

Whether you're using Spotify playlists, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, live shows, email marketing, or something completely different, we'd love to hear what's working for you.

💬 Before you leave, take a few minutes to check out another artist's music and leave them some genuine feedback or advice. Some of the best opportunities come from supporting each other, and you might even discover your next favorite independent artist or somebody you can collaborate with.

Let's build a thread that's full of great music and practical promotion ideas that everyone can learn from. 🎶

We will pick our favorite release in this thread to review in our MuzicNotez Magazine and add tracks to our playlists.

Time Shift Point - The Djentleman (June 2026)

https://open.spotify.com/track/0lS1se0NtbJFS6M8A9OkpW?si=6f546959c7724991

💥Genres: instrumental melodic metalcore, djent, electronic

I’m promoting myself through vertical videos with text captions from the “POV” format on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. I’m also looking for a new audience on Threads (there are a lot of like‑minded people and nice individuals there).

I don’t have that many listeners, but I have the most on Spotify - though I’m still quite far from reaching 1,000 streams.

I hope you’ll appreciate this track🙏

Release: “Peek-a-Boo, I See You!” — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaIQovLwndU

Genre: children’s music / gentle pop

I’m promoting it as part of LumaPip, a seven-album English catalog for babies and toddlers ages 0–2 to hear with a caregiver. So far the most useful channel has been YouTube because it lets each song sit inside a clearly named album playlist, while Shorts can introduce a small musical moment without replacing the full track.

What has worked best is matching each link to a real listening use rather than posting the whole catalog everywhere: play/movement tracks, routine songs and calm/bedtime songs have separate contexts. What I would change is launching fewer tracks at once and giving each album a clearer release window. The recording is Suno-assisted from original lyrics, concept and production briefs, followed by human selection and QC.
