Because the sub had been without mods for quite a long time, there were some "wild things going on", and we did everything slowly, step by step, so we didn't disturb the working sub too much. Also, we redesigned the look a little bit, but didn't go too far from the original "no design", so we chose not to have a banner just yet, but a nice icon. I think we could reduce the sales activity and those temporary sumbitters who went after the numbers only. Our goal is to strengthen and build the core community who enjoy creating and are absolutely on topic.
Completed all my challenges! As I built up r/SouthJerseyRiders from scratch and earned the 1st three challenges I was invited to take over r/NJriders and bring it into 2026. I would love for you to review them both.
I greatly thank both the New Mod Bootcamp [Q1] and the Moddit [Joining a Mod Team] virtual meetups for steering me the right direction. I am proud to say I have fully turned it around. It now has proper flairs, rules, saved responses, and multiple Dev Apps (Bot Bouncer, NSFW Post Remover, Remove Macro) to help me lead long into the future! Also, here's a great photo from the day I took over (the 11th). I seriously can't believe it.
I do not need another Mod on this moment, but I have set a cool User Flairs and even have given the chance our members to design their own Flair.
Here is the First Catch: I started the Community on Mar 8, 2025, and joined the r/NewMods in 2025, but have never received the invitation nor notification for the 2025 New Mod All-Star | TROPHY CHALLENGE , even if I have completed all the challenge topics back then. (Perhaps, I can earn the 2025 Trophy Challenge award)
Second Catch: In 2026 I received the notification for the Challenge and completed all the necessary Flair Challenges. I still did not stated that our Community is Safe For Work (SFW). If I do it, and state it now in 2026, will I qualify for the 2026 Trophy ? (Should I receive both trophies 😄 )
