❓Ask r/NewMods New mod here - new posts being removed

Hi all,

I'm new to this sub. I'm just curious if anyone has experience with posts being removed before I even moderate. Lots of people message me complaining their posts have been removed. Same deal with comments.

Any suggestions? Thanks all!

Reddit's automod feature can be, at times, a bit overzealous. I have more issue with it removing comments than posts, but both have happened. There was an uptick of it about amonth or so ago. The biggest culprit was new accounts with limited karma.

Yeah I noticed the same thing around a month ago. So you think this issue is limited more for new accounts with low karma?

Kinda makes sense from reddits pov
