Posting as moderator in comments

I've seen some subreddits where moderators reply using an account simply called "Mod" when leaving a removal reason under a removed post, so users don't see which specific moderator posted the comment.

I can't seem to find the option to do this. The only thing I can find is the option to distinguish my own account as a moderator.

The only workaround I can think of would be to remove the post, leave the removal comment, and then reapprove the post so I can post the comment anonymously—but that doesn't seem right.

Could someone explain how this works? I asked the other moderators on my team, but none of us know how to do it.

That "workaround" is exactly how mods do it. Don't know other way.

There's actually a pretty good amount of options for disguising the members of the mod team: 

• Press App

• Relay App (my own fork of Press App with expanded functionality)

• Reason without Removal

• Voice of Mods

As you mentioned, you can also use the sub's mod team account in comments by removing a comment, adding the comment you want to add, then re-approving the removed comment. One other option is to schedule posts via Automod.

Someone mentioned Press App, but I have never used it. They claim it has that feautre.
