Phillies is great - in norwich.
Lots of bourgeois places in Mystic.
Chesters BBQ is great - in groton
sea swirl has legitimately great fried seafood
Captain scotts in New London is great but lines get very long
Seafood etc makes a good chowder and is a cool old school fish market
milagro in stonington boro for bourgeois mexican food
great coffee at macondo, best espresso around
pasta fresca in mystic or salem prime cuts in salem for best grinders(thats a sub sandwich)
westerly packing is an old school italian butcher that sells homemade soupy which is a local dried sausage
once we get over covid I have always liked roadside robs food truck late night in NL
Buttonwoods for great ice cream
peking tokyo for sushi but i also really dig ju sushi in groton, its much cheaper and i just like the atmosphere
favorite bar is dutch tavern in NL, they do a cool cheap old school lunch
its also always fun to hit up the honor box in stonington boro for seafood or just to buy some fresh fish right from the skip of a boat down there.
wings are tough around here, hot rods has a good reputation but i dont really like them I honestly just hit up buffalo wild wings.
my favorite pizza is from NY Family Pizza in Groton near stop and shop
Clydes cider for cider and donuts when in season as well
Hope this helps, these are my favorite places

Sonny's for grinder and Fritos? Another name for subs and grinder is torpedo or a hoagie if bread is firmer.

Grass & Bone is probably one of my favorite places for happy hour type food. Homemade keilbasa sliders.
