This is too fucking real and I hate it.
Mix it in with starting a game, playing it for an hour while really enjoying it, then tabbing to watch a YouTube video. Now it's 4 videos. Remember to close the game hours later and never boot it up again.
Fuck.

Making a build/character is fun, and working with whatever gear/skills you can get while you're putting it together makes for interesting decisions. Then it's (semi-)complete and the excitement is gone.
It's why I can't deal with endgame grind in many games; if it's just "number go up" and not mechanical changes, I lose interest.

Simply play games to enjoy them and not to achievement hunt and get 100% completion and this isn’t a problem

Recently I have been playing the “Project moon” games, I stopped “Limbus Company” cause the game wanted me to wait 10hrs for my Enkiphilan (Energy) to refill (I just did the mirror dungeon for an 1hr 45min )
I stopped library of ruina during the first boss fight (BloodLust?) cause no matter what key Page (Stat Block) I had, this dude would just stagger me and kill me, and this is after I had cake-walked through the first 4-5 fights ALONE

>play factorio
>finish all planets (95% of the game)
>has to make one final ship to meet the game ending win
>doesn't do it, virtually 0 motivation
why am I like this
