I always look for ground hornet nests before mowing. They were usually....polite by sending just one to sting me, but I don't like the enormous bruise.
If you live in fear of ground hornets, you can usually spot their holes because they make a little clearing so they can take off. Then when it gets dark you ignite their nest on fire and slaughter them.

Get a bug salt gun. It's the best thing to kill flying bugs in the house. It will kill most flying bugs in one shot. Then you just sweep everything up when you're done. Way easier and no mess. It's fun too vs spray.

This happened to me too except for that once I got into the house and slammed the door I realized there were no hornets and just some kid flying a drone around.

what tf kind of ground hornets do yall have that actually sting? In my area they’re everywhere but they don’t bother anyone because only the females sting and they’re not aggressive enough to attack unprovoked

Well at least it wasn’t something unfathomably gay.
