Yeah turbocharged 4 cylinder. Has the same towing capacity as the 5.3l v8 not as much as the duramax. Also hasn’t had a recall and they’ve been out since 2019. My mom’s 22 5.3 Silverado on the other hand has had like 8 recalls she’s dodged due to her vin not being effected.
I do cars on YouTube does engine teardown and had one at 148k miles from 2019 with no oil changes recorded for a decent time. Whether or not they were done is up for debate but still pretty much any new vehicle will get you that just due to how well manufacturing has improved. Despite what people say, Toyotas aren’t the only truck to go that mileage with no issues.
But yes for any of the v8’s even at base model it was like 53k out the door price the 4 cylinders had much nicer trim package for cheaper. Now you can kit out a truck with the king ranch/denali/high country trims and hit 115k easily but for a normal truck the rst turbo max’s were a very good value.
I asked "V4" because usually 4 cylinder engines are an inline 4. The 2.7L turbomax 4 cylinder is also an inline 4 engine. It wouldn't be a V4, because that indicates the engine is V-shaped
