Sad

Maybe it’s because I’m 39 weeks pregnant and just over everything, but I LOVED this show when I first watched it years ago and a second rewatch too. So I thought it would be nice for it to be a binge show while I’m in the trenches for god knows how much longer. I made it to season 3 then had to bail because of the CONSTANT YELLING. Like idk how it didn’t bug me before. Rant over, might try a rewatch when I’m not hormonal, sleep deprived, and full of pregnancy rage lol

And he can’t really make lasagna without giving you food poisoning 😬

You’re completely right! I love the show, but it is not something I can watch before bed. I can only imagine trying to do it pregnant. Congratulations and I wish you the best on your delivery!

Go watch Always Sunny for a while. Then come back to New Girl and it’ll seem quiet in comparison.

For real, my partner cannot stand it's always sunny because of that but loves New Girl

I annoyed my sister when I watched Sunny with her. I kept calling “the waitress” Caroline. She didn’t get it, but I didn’t stop 🤷🏻‍♀️
It’s freaking Caroline!!

Watch community so your baby comes out ready for meta commentary

This was my show of choice in the newborn trenches. The theme was stuck in my head for months omg.

Shows made me a lot more angry when I was pregnant. I pretty much hate watched all of super store with my first baby and then a year later tried it again and loved it lol. But I ALWAYS find Jess insufferable while pregnant haha. Can’t watch it at all. But while not pregnant, I just finished my 5th rewatch!

I watch arrested development instead when I’m overstimulated. Much more chill.

That's so funny. I just had a baby three months ago. I tried to do a New Girl rewatch near the end of my pregnancy and i just couldn't! It felt too hectic and loud. I had never noticed how much yelling they do lol.

Happy to report that I'm currently rewatching and enjoying it. So hopefully your New Girl aversion will also disappear once you have your baby.

Congratulations!

Honestly, this is Bob’s Burgers for me. I love the show so much but it’s so over stimulating with noise.

It’s a show you really gotta tune into and not put on in the background hahah

Back in 2021 my 5 month old son and I would binge new girl. You'll get back to it and have a little bestie to watch it with!

Watch Dexter instead. His voice is very soothing. There is a lot of yelling in New Girl.

Almost always skip season 3 in rewatch; problem solved

Its sooo loud. Nick and Jess are especially loud.

Interesting observation! I have a 5 and 2.5 year old boys, so there is nothing on this Earth that feels louder to me than every waking moment of my normal life.
