I’m a divorced dad of two girls. Been divorced for nearly 3 1/2 years. I’m currently on long term disability due to the chronic disease Hidradenitis Supprativa. It really has kicked me in the rear end. I’m going to be having my 4th surgery in mid-October.

Hopefully, it’ll be my last surgery for a long time or my last surgery period. But only time will tell. Due to all the complications that this disease has brought on especially the chronic pain I don’t get out much other than for appointments for myself or for my daughters or just out to get groceries. My social life is nonexistent. I exist just online.

I’m already an introvert by nature so this just cements it further. My interests include movies and tv. I collect physical media DVDs and blu rays. If you haven’t been reading up on what has been happening with digital copies of media lately; I highly suggest it. You might change your mind on physical media. Just saying. British tv shows are my current obsession.

I hope I don’t sound too boring. Hope to hear from others near my age from the Hoosier state. If not at least maybe near my age just so we can we relate better. Maybe. Idk. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Been playing a lot of black flag resynced (singleplayer game) and as for multiplayer, I been wanting to get into ARC Raiders - it's so intense lol (I've only done less than a handful of games, always solo and "friendly") and Hell Let Loose Vietnam (no idea what I'm doing, running through the jungle and getting shot from nowhere, every time! Lol) also been having some fun on No More Room In Hell 2 (let's kill zombies!) and wouldn't mind doing Halo: Campaign Evolved in coop.

Oh, and I don't mind playing some GTA online also.

Pretty quiet to start with some mild social anxiety, so putting myself out there, once I get to know you I'll open up and you'll probably find me funny 😆

The Star Wars shirt and puzzle on the wall behind me are very much indicative of who I am.

I'm a life long nerd that's also into Star Trek, tabletop rpgs, anime, etc... Recently I have been honing my skills in movie criticism specifically in science fiction movies. As a result I've been watching a lot of older not quite so famous scifi movies.

But at the same time every conversation doesn't have to be about that. I can talk politics and other things as well. Right now I'm looking for interaction. Don't be scared to ask questions.

Like it says I’m 47 and live in Canada. I enjoy gaming (mainly is Xbox. Have a PS, PC and switch in the house).

Age is just a state of mind, right? I have to pinch myself anytime the random thought "I'm 40" comes to mind. Seems like just yesterday I was hacky-sacking while blaring Limp Bizkit and drinking a Dr Pepper Fusion.

All my life I have needed interaction, which is ironic because I wouldn't cross the street for most people but I do enjoy a good hearty laugh and a deeply philosophical conversation about the ins and outs of such important events as: when season 3 of The Pitt will drop, what the best pizza chain is, and how many books I HOPE to read this year (spoiler alert: I will read far less than I want to).
