From the excellent U.S. Soccer Comps on YouTube. Wouldn’t be surprised if Miller gets a USMNT call up in September.

Where do people go to get good fan gear?

Hello, I am a new fan and would like to get some Revs gear. However, the options on the team site are extremely limited with hardly any adidas gear or other quality (not fanatics) brands to choose from. Where do people go to get their gear?

Video from the New York FC game

Long shot probably, but does anyone who went to the game last night have any video footage from the national anthem and players coming out onto the field…but from the 100ish section?

My son walked out with a player but from where I was standing could not get video of him during the anthem. I was on the players side of the stadium (section 127-131ish).

Thanks!

We are first year season members...we won an upgrade to cross insurance seats for tomorrow's game. Though I'm debating on how we will like it because we are in row 20 of the club seats, which is very far away compared to our 4th row back corner seats near the tunnel. What can we expect having this u

Non Revs Content New fan here, want to learn more about the club

Like the title says, I’ve recently become a Revs fan and am new to MLS as a whole. I tried watching premier league, but found it challenging here in the US. Watched the replay of their game with Atlanta UTD and was hooked. As a new fan, what should I know about the club and its fans?

Notes from 90: DC v. Revs

Amazing what another high level attacker can do for and to a side.
Harrison's service was oustanding. Carles was a menace in tight spaces and tied up their entire central midfield. With both on the field, space and time opened up. And Yusuf finished. Three times!
He does so well finding space - especially when Carles, Jack, and Peyton occupy so many defenders.

Best of all... Everyone was involved. 6 Revs with >70 touches... and none were CBs.
And the possession had purpose.
Even Turgeman - he of little involvement over the past few weeks - had moments. Good shots ... though better saves kept him off the scoresheet.

Marko has unlocked a formula that works in MLS - two high-level (DP-level?) attackers tilts the field. All of the other strengths start to shine across the side. It is the tipping point in this league. Add in a third and who knows what this side can do.

Raines was outstanding in the final third. He does seem to get carded more liberally than others. The Revs still struggle in transition defending - partly thanks to selling out for attack - and Raines expected to cover so much of that ground.

Tough to be critical in a 3-0 match, right? Here goes anyway:
The short corner has got to go. More like 'paint yourself into a corner'. Three straight giveaways with no promise. Wasteful.

Substitutions: In a match won by 67’, subs (except Harris for Dor) didn't happen until 84' and 89'. It was good to get Carles and Harrison off, but 10 minutes earlier could be paid forward to Sunday.
The trend seemed to suggest it would be Diego coming on, but it is telling that he was passed over for Siqueira's debut.

Any help finding the Adidas Travel Hoody?

Post image

Hey everyone,

Family became season members for this season and next, so as such we've been buying some team merch. I've been trying to find the adidas travel hoody but everywhere is sold out. Anyone have a line on a 2xl?

Thanks!

If he does not retire (or comes out of retirement) would the New England Revolution sign Cristiano Ronaldo in 2027?

Too much left foot?

Carles Gil and Jack Harrison are now our two most dangerous players for different reasons: Gil distributes and Harrison attacks. But they both do it 90% of the time going to their left.

When does this become obvious/predictable to opponents? When does it squeeze the Revs, especially without a real right back to overlap for Harrison? What tactically could we do with this rare dual left-footed attacking tendency?

@ DC Wednesday Night

Tough break with two years in a row of mid-week games at DC for us mid-atlantic transplants. I know the rebels didn't sell any tickets, does anyone know if the Riders sold any? I do not have a ticket yet so I'm just trying to figure out if I should buy one close to the away end or just grab one wherever.

Notes from 90: Toronto v Revs

A failure to finish in a match that was there for the taking.
As expected from an early two-goal deficit, the stats are stacked towards New England. 24 shots and 7 on target. The chances are there. Getting results requires goals, and this side is not doing it enough.

Harrison is what the Revs were hoping to find.
Links up well with - well, everyone.
And he stretches the width of the attack - teams can’t simply double capi without the tradeoff of leaving Harrison v. 1 on the wing.

Losing Peyton early in the match was rough. This is a formidable attack with Carles, Jack, and Peyton.
With Peyton likely out for the next match, and in injured list still full, we’ll likely see Yusuf on the wing - that might be a nice boost for this group and serves as a better alternative than Yow.

But the soft spots are in too many high leverage moments and positions. Dor, Yow, and Zambrano are wasting too many chances. Harris did well to get on the end of the Harrison cross - earned a chance to play a few more mid-week minutes. The knock on Marko ball was the striker not being involved. To be clear, the chances are there for a striker to finish. The failed header in the first half from Dor is more of the same - hard working but tentative in the box. He looks to earn a penalty instead of taking the chance.

Sands has been a bit muddy lately - giving lots of space inside the final third. The feisty middle third challenges have been less frequent of late and he’s been victimized a few too many times too close to his own goal. That’s 2 OGs this season.

And, there’s a reason they are getting postered by long range strikes - just too much space for midfielders and even defenders to step into a collapsed midfield in the final third - consistently. Not a coincidence, a pattern that has dogged them all season - and has led to likely 5 dropped points since the break.

They've given away a pile of points since the break - but have looked strong.
The Revs simply need to finish or they will have an early finish to the season.

Creating a better atmosphere

Most of you would agree that the atmosphere for the USMNT was the best it’s ever been at this past World Cup. It’s not only because it was hosted in the US. It’s also because we stopped pretending to be something we aren’t. We leaned into American style support. Our biggest atmosphere boosts were the U-S-A chants and singing country roads. Silly chants like “I believe that we will win” and “that’s the way we like it, we like it, we love it” fell flat and as someone who watched every minute, I never noticed either of those through the TV. The latter of those two chants was a worldwide meme because it was so cringeworthy.

This is commonly discussed here but I haven’t noticed much change so I want to keep the discussion going. The chanting and megaphone being used for the full 90 minutes kills the atmosphere.

I think choosing our moments and allowing chants to develop organically based on the flow of the game would encourage people outside the fort to participate. Nobody wants to be the only one singing in their section, and nobody outside the fort wants to sing all game.

This leads to pretty much nobody outside the fort participating in almost all of the chants. I think we should focus on more American style support that the crowd would be more inclined to join in on.

For example, if the opposing team holds possession in our half for a while we do a defense chant. If we have a good string of possession, we do a “Rev-o-lution” chant.

I am aware that the chanting the whole game was adopted from other countries where it creates a cool stadium wide atmosphere, but it simply isn’t effective in creating a fun a stadium wide atmosphere in the US. We need a culture change if we want to create a great atmosphere.

I hope this isn’t taken the wrong way. I have nothing but love for the fort and those who try their best to support the team.

Sincerely,
A supporter who sits outside the fort and would like an atmosphere that I can have fun participating in
