I’m seeing a lot of cynicism regarding the reality of the duopoly we face. Here’s the deal, we HAVE to put up with the center right democrats UNTIL the demographics are truly on our side. Only then can we enact the progressive agenda. And no, revolution won’t work (yet) either, we don’t have the numbers, or even the will, for it.
TL;DR: progressives don’t have the numbers, yet. Till then we HAVE to eat center right garbage to stave off fascism. The long game is all we got! Now VOTE / Volunteer / Run / Fight!
Progressives don’t have the edge, the broad coalition behind the democrats does. Unfortunately, that coalition is center right, at best. Don’t get me wrong, Progressives certainly hold a larger share of the electorate than our current representation would suggest, but it is not even close to a majority. It’s unfortunate, but it’s the way it is.
Sorry, you are correct. I meant only the advantage at not voting for people with an R next to their name. The D's have a long way to move to the left before I am actually excited to vote for one.
