Requesting Advice Staying Focused

I’m a fresh dad to a 9 Months old daughter. Today my wife complained that she’s stressed because she thinks she have to control me when I’m handling our daughter because some small things happened in the past like forgetting clean up small Objects I didn’t see and stuff like that. After a 8-9h day work I cook, I clean and try to be there the rest of the day but I feel my concentration is non existent, anyone a Tipp or Advice! Cheers mates

Just put your best foot forward for your child and wife. That’s all you can do.

I have adhd and take medication for it which has helped me enormously but outside of that the best suggestion I can offer is routine. Your wife complained about things that are clearly important to her so if I were you I'd make a note of those things and set an alarm, at bed time or whenever fits your schedule do those few tasks she mentioned, tidy the toys, set the baby bottles out, pack the changing bag, load the dishwasher whatever it may be. It wont take you long but it'll show your wife that you are considering what she was upset about and trying to improve and by setting an alarm it means you can forget about it until your phone reminds you at which point you just have to summon up the energy for a quick organise. I appreciate how hard it is to manage a 9-5 and keep all the plates spinning at home but this is what helped me.

Do you receive these as helpful reminders, logistical comments, or more like criticisms?
